big mike Posted May 20, 2009 #1 Posted May 20, 2009 I'm considering a purchase this week of a carbtune pro from morgan directly. is this a good decision or is it better to go through a local distributor? If local any suggestions? Thanks, Big Mike
Reaney in NH Posted May 20, 2009 #2 Posted May 20, 2009 I bought mine from them... Got a great deal and VERY fast service. I am very pleased. Reaney:thumbsup:
halfwitt Posted May 20, 2009 #3 Posted May 20, 2009 And, with the current conversion rate, it's only about $78.00. I just ordered one. I lied - it's about $87. I had converted from Euros instead of Pounds.
Snaggletooth Posted May 20, 2009 #4 Posted May 20, 2009 Got mine from California Sport Touring. http://www.casporttouring.com/store/merchant.mvc? Just type in Morgan Carbtune in the search and it will take ya right to the listing. Took a couple of weeks as they were out of stock at the time. Mike
Sling Posted May 20, 2009 #5 Posted May 20, 2009 When I ordered mine, I ordered it straight from the Manufacturer. Better price and very quick delivery!! Just under a week..
adventurer 08 Posted May 20, 2009 #6 Posted May 20, 2009 I also bought mine from cartune with no proplems. It took about 2 weeks to get. It cost me $87 us dollars.
jonesy Posted May 20, 2009 #7 Posted May 20, 2009 Got mine from them, alittle longer but not that bad. $87 about the cost if I'm right.

Freebird Posted May 20, 2009 #10 Posted May 20, 2009 Yes, a lot of us bought directly from Morgan and I've never heard of a problem. Just a footnote, I will be giving one away at maintenance day. Must be there to win.
mini-muffin Posted May 20, 2009 #11 Posted May 20, 2009 Wow Don are we gonna need to buy tickets for this? Jeff wanted me to order him a new one but if he could win one that would be great. Oh we not only bought a carbtune from them but we got the color tune as well. Then we got our dealer to buy one. Margaret
Freebird Posted May 21, 2009 #12 Posted May 21, 2009 No tickets...a former..or present...I'm not telling...member who went to a fuel injected bike donated the carbtune as well as a set of speakers. The speakers should work on a first or second gen. Also a used by very usable service manual for the 83-84 Venture. So...there are some prizes. Just show up and drop your names in the jar and you will be entered.
Squidley Posted May 21, 2009 #13 Posted May 21, 2009 Sean Morgan is very reputable and I would buy from him again without hesitation
Evan Posted May 21, 2009 #14 Posted May 21, 2009 Just ordered one last week. Now waiting on delivery. So far, I am impressed with their support and ordering process. I asked a few questions by e-mail and got quick responses and they sent good info after the order was recieved.
timgray Posted May 21, 2009 #15 Posted May 21, 2009 buy it direct. It's cheaper and a LOT faster. I got mine in 4 days from them. The Pound is tanking, the Dollar is not tanking as fast so you get them new for less than guys want for their used ones.
Guest Saddletramp Posted May 21, 2009 #16 Posted May 21, 2009 Ordered mine direct from Morgan almost two weeks ago and the price came to just under $98.00 american.
wasabe58 Posted May 21, 2009 #18 Posted May 21, 2009 Bought mine from them (directly) about a month ago. Shipping was extremely fast..just aboput a week. I think it was about 92 or 93 including shipping (air freight).
Highwayman Posted May 21, 2009 #19 Posted May 21, 2009 I got mine several years ago (4) and worked directly with Morgan, great guy, great service, and a good product. Just used it on a friends bike this weekend and the improvement was immense.
N3FOL Posted May 21, 2009 #20 Posted May 21, 2009 Same here...ordered directly from them and am very satisfied with the product. Tomorrow, I am helping a co-worker synch the carbs and check idle on this RSTD. It should be fun.
1sttenor Posted May 21, 2009 #21 Posted May 21, 2009 Got mine direct from Morgan. Six business days to my door. That's faster than USPS can get a letter to my parents, 100 miles away, some times!
Sunman Posted May 21, 2009 #22 Posted May 21, 2009 Got mine direct from Morgan. Six business days to my door. That's faster than USPS can get a letter to my parents, 100 miles away, some times! Letters? Those are like hard copy e-mails right?
