Aussie Annie Posted July 30, 2009 #101 Posted July 30, 2009 Thankx for the update Ruffy, make sure you and your bud drink plenty of water while workin' in the shed don't want you self-combusting in the heat! We appreciate all the effort you are both putting in to give us this product:clap2:
1BigDog Posted July 31, 2009 Author #102 Posted July 31, 2009 First 3 sets shipped today via Priority mail. Dan did a real nice job on them. They look great. RayRider, two tone white and slick97spirit, thanks for your orders and hope you enjoy them.
1BigDog Posted July 31, 2009 Author #103 Posted July 31, 2009 (edited) Whoops, I dont know how I did it but I have some of the names out of order. When tracking the orders I must have jumped a page. Dusty and RayRider were actually #'s 8 & 9. Sorry about that. RayRiders set was already shipped but im in the process of correcting the orders in the order that they were received. Sorry guys..... OK, it seems that I had crossed some from the first and second pages...got it straight now. Edited July 31, 2009 by Ruffy Big Dummy
Jerry W Posted July 31, 2009 #104 Posted July 31, 2009 Ruffy, Looks like I am 10th on the list, we are going to the rally in Harrison and then to Branson and a few other places before heading home, do you need for me to send payment before we leave? We will be gone for approx. 10 days.
1BigDog Posted August 3, 2009 Author #107 Posted August 3, 2009 Gunboat, your set was shipped Priority mail Saturday. You should be getting them tomorrow. Thanks for your order. Hope you enjoy them. Another set will be ready by the end of the day and another tomorrow. That would be JerryW and Leadwolf56's sets.
slick97spirit Posted August 3, 2009 #108 Posted August 3, 2009 Got my deflectors. Great looking product Ruffy. Perfect timing too. Headed to Orlando this weekend and it'll be a good time to try them out. Question, do they bolt to the passing lamp bar in existing holes or do I need to drill & tap there?
1BigDog Posted August 3, 2009 Author #109 Posted August 3, 2009 Got my deflectors. Great looking product Ruffy. Perfect timing too. Headed to Orlando this weekend and it'll be a good time to try them out. Question, do they bolt to the passing lamp bar in existing holes or do I need to drill & tap there? Ken, glad you like them. My friend put many hours of hand sanding and polishing into them. Just upkeep them with some good polish and they should last a long time. And yes, they mount into the existing holes. Enjoy your trip and be safe. If you come through Jacksonville give me a shout. Maybe we can hook up for lunch or something.

1BigDog Posted August 6, 2009 Author #116 Posted August 6, 2009 I would like a set if there is room on the band wagon I got you down on the list. You should make the tail end of the second production run. Hopefully we can start that sometime in September. Thanks.....
1BigDog Posted August 10, 2009 Author #117 Posted August 10, 2009 T.J. and JerryW, your sets are in the mail. Thanks for the orders.....
coldinnd Posted August 10, 2009 #118 Posted August 10, 2009 My 99 does not have deflectors but I have been looking for them what do they mount too?
1BigDog Posted August 10, 2009 Author #119 Posted August 10, 2009 They mount to the light bar under the fairing. Look under the bar and you should see 2 holes on each side..thats where they go.
Jerry W Posted August 10, 2009 #120 Posted August 10, 2009 Thanks, I haven't quite made it back to Texas from the HUB. I am about 100 miles east of Springfield, Mo. right now, will most likely head back on Wednesday. I will get them on and post a pic. Thanks again. T.J. and JerryW, your sets are in the mail. Thanks for the orders.....
Two Tone White Posted August 10, 2009 #121 Posted August 10, 2009 Ruffy, I was remiss in not writing sooner. I received the package within two days of you shipping it - wrapped well to prevent damage. Upon inspection they appeared well made and sturdy. I didn't have a chance to get them on the bike until this weekend. They look very nice and fit well. Now all I need is chrome legs to match. Rode all day yesterday until I nearly had heat stroke and they seemed to do the trick better than the OEM ones I had since they are a little bigger. Thanks for your effort in putting this project together. TTW
1BigDog Posted August 12, 2009 Author #123 Posted August 12, 2009 Ceedoo, 1rooster and Uturn...your sets should be ready sometime next week. Might even make it down to Tim44 and Annie too.
coldinnd Posted August 14, 2009 #124 Posted August 14, 2009 I finally checked my bike and now know why I have no deflectors, the original brackets are both snapped off right below mounting screws. But the good news is nothing else appears to be damaged and I can remount a new set. If it is not to late I will take a set. Just let me know.
1BigDog Posted August 14, 2009 Author #125 Posted August 14, 2009 I finally checked my bike and now know why I have no deflectors, the original brackets are both snapped off right below mounting screws. But the good news is nothing else appears to be damaged and I can remount a new set. If it is not to late I will take a set. Just let me know. Right now all I can do is add you to the list. The sets that are going out now are from the first production run, which is about 26 sets and were averaging about 3-5 sets a week. Your #21 on the next production run. I have had several cancellations on the first run, which is to be expected. That moved up some of the others in the pecking order. Once we finish the first run I will see how many from the remainder of the list still want them. We still need a minimum of 20 on the second run before we can cut a new sheet of aluminum. This stuff aint cheap. Right now I have that minimum. All I can add is they are worth the wait. I love my set and its only the mock up set!
