Best place/price for stator

With only 22k miles my 84 needs a stator. Anyone got a good used one or where I can get the best price for new one.

And yes it is fried. New battery, good connections thruout. When I did 2nd gear it was black on one side. I have a spare regulator-rectifier and it does the same, no charge. Just hoping then....

I replaced my stator in my '83 Venture with only 23k on it, but it had been sitting for several years and had corroded and blew. I got mine at Dennis Kirk.

The new wires are a smaller diameter than the original so make sure that you 'goop' it up with a good rtv gasket silicone. I didn't do a good enough job when I did mine and I am going to redo the silicone this weekend. The stator works great though!
