SilvrT Posted May 15, 2009 Author #8 Posted May 15, 2009 That my friend is a dead tree. you're right about that... it's a dead apple tree; however, it has a honeysuckle vine growing on it and that's what all the small branches are... it will be popping out soon.
MasterGuns Posted May 15, 2009 #9 Posted May 15, 2009 So that's where my ex is now! Always thought she'd look good hideing in the top of a tree.
similost Posted May 15, 2009 #10 Posted May 15, 2009 So since we can't see the pictures well enough, you going to let us know what it is? Going by color only, I'm leaning towards an owl..
SilvrT Posted May 15, 2009 Author #11 Posted May 15, 2009 So since we can't see the pictures well enough, you going to let us know what it is? Going by color only, I'm leaning towards an owl.. ok, ok ... it's an optical illusion... probably only seen by my eyes ... it looks like a large lizzard or something...maybe like a chameleon...but it's really just another part of the dead tree...more pronounced under lower light conditions such as just before dusk or just after dawn. I was looking at it last evening and at first, I really thought it was something...but when it didn't move after a while I then realized my eyes were playing tricks on me so.... thought I'd see if anyone else could see what I was seeing (had to find out if anyone else was as crazy as me) :rotf:
retc403 Posted May 15, 2009 #12 Posted May 15, 2009 You're not crazy.....apparently you have had to spend too much time off the bike and just looking out the window. Idle wheels can cause halucinations and wierd feelings and thoughts. GET BACK ON THE BIKE FAST........you'll be fine in about 15 miles. Sound good to you??? Gir-er-dun. retc403
SilvrT Posted May 15, 2009 Author #14 Posted May 15, 2009 looks like some kind of owl to me. David ah ha! there's the proof... I'm either not crazy or I am and there's others like me LOL You're not crazy.....apparently you have had to spend too much time off the bike and just looking out the window. Idle wheels can cause halucinations and wierd feelings and thoughts. GET BACK ON THE BIKE FAST........you'll be fine in about 15 miles. Sound good to you??? painterman67 Posted May 15, 2009 #15 Posted May 15, 2009 I've been called crazy more than once. I think the are all just jealous. David
Red1 Posted May 16, 2009 #16 Posted May 16, 2009 Ok, OK, I see it! If you tilt your head and squint your eyes and stare at it................nevermind, it was just a bug on my screen.
autopilot Posted May 16, 2009 #17 Posted May 16, 2009 First glance you'd think it was an animal. In context, the tree has had a lot of previous pruning of the larger branches. If you look at the other cut off branches, then the one you're talking about, you can tell it really looks like one of the old branch stubs.
