Redneck Posted May 13, 2009 #1 Posted May 13, 2009 The park is in the sierra Nevada's in central california. The park is very densely forested so most of what you see from the roads are two lines of trees. There are some areas with views and they are some great views. the roads are some great riding. The reason I went to this park was to see the sequoia trees. That wood pecker tried to peck his way into the motor home for 3 days.
99silver Posted May 13, 2009 #2 Posted May 13, 2009 Thanks Mike those are some great pic's. Would like to get out that way myself someday
BuddyRich Posted May 13, 2009 #5 Posted May 13, 2009 Been thru there a bunch of times on the bike. Its a nice ride. Can get a little chilly at night near the top. Wood peck wont eat much. Don't let the bears in though. They eat EVERYTHING...Including RV's

91nwl Posted May 13, 2009 #11 Posted May 13, 2009 One of my favorite things to do is ride Hwy 41 from Fish Camp into Yosemite Valley listening to Roy Rodgers and Dale Evans, and busting out of that tunnel at Inspiration Point. Now that there is a nice morning.
Redneck Posted May 14, 2009 Author #12 Posted May 14, 2009 WANT TO DO THAT IN JULY:thumbsup:It will be warmer then and the pass will be open. Bring your walking shoes if you want to see the big trees.

So when you get home, it would be a shame to just park that set-up and leave it to just sit there... wanna loan it out? Great vacation idea though. I try not to be envious but that is sweet.
