Nemo Posted May 11, 2009 #1 Posted May 11, 2009 What do you suggest to use to re-attach the holder, on the tank, for the head set cord receptacle? Somehow, it popped off when I bumped it. I don't know if it is supposed to be stuck on with a glue or maybe a 2-sided tape. Anyone else have this problem? Owen.
gunboat Posted May 11, 2009 #2 Posted May 11, 2009 i think it's a 2-sided tape by 3m. should be able to buy it any where. thats what i would use. best reguards don c.
RedRider Posted May 11, 2009 #4 Posted May 11, 2009 As another alternative, tie the cord on the handlebars with a ziptie. I find the cord to the helmet no longer catches on the pocket flap of my jacket when I turn my head. Just a thought. RR
KiteSquid Posted May 11, 2009 #5 Posted May 11, 2009 3M acrylic foam tapes work GREAT!!!!! Look at your local auto parts store, automotive paint store, or ask at your local auto painter. If they have several options, get the thinnest they have. Clean both surfaces to give the adhesive a fighting chance. BTW the adhesives in the 3M products don't like to stick to silicone, so remove any wax you might have applied to the tank.
Nemo Posted May 11, 2009 Author #6 Posted May 11, 2009 Thanks Guys, I have some 3M, 2 sided, .045" Foam tape here at home, so I'll try that.
