friesman Posted May 11, 2009 #1 Posted May 11, 2009 (edited) Here is a couple of tricks that Rocket used when he completely overhauled my bike from top to bottom. For bleeding the brakes he uses a turkey baster with the end filed down and then threaded into the under seat resevoir so you can see how much fluid you have when flushing your brake lines. Also he had a tool put together that really helps when putting a clutch back together. Thank again Paul, I really appreciate all the help and sweat you put into my bike! Rocket Posted May 11, 2009 #4 Posted May 11, 2009 Also he had a tool put together that really helps when putting a clutch back together. Brian This clutch tool is made up of a steel clutch plate & 1/2" diameter steel rod about a foot long welded to it. Someone else at work welded it for me, as I can't weld worth s**t. It is used to hold the inner clutch basket still, while torquing the centre nut, to 50 ft lbs. This makes it a quick easy job, for those of us that helps others, with their bikes & is worthwhile to keep in the tool box.
