skydoc_17 Posted May 10, 2009 #1 Posted May 10, 2009 I recently picked up another parts bike that has Chrome Air Intake Grills.(please see attached pic) Does anyone know of a way to install these grills on a Venture Royale WITHOUT taking the Fairing off the bike? I would love to have these grills on my 87'VR but am not looking forward to taking both halves of the fairing off to install them! Please Help!! Earl
Venturous Randy Posted May 10, 2009 #2 Posted May 10, 2009 Do they mount the same as the black ones? I don't take my fairing off the remove my black grills. RandyA
skydoc_17 Posted May 10, 2009 Author #3 Posted May 10, 2009 Hey Randy, Thanks for the speedy repy! Lets assume for a moment that they do mount the same way, how do YOU take your grills off? You Just made my day, Bro. Earl
Squidley Posted May 10, 2009 #4 Posted May 10, 2009 Earl, There is a phillips head screw on the inside of the grill, remove the screw and the grill will pull out and to the outside to come off. Just take your time doing it as there are 2 tabs on the inside portion that hold it into the fairing and then the screw holds the outside.
Dano Posted May 10, 2009 #6 Posted May 10, 2009 Hey Earl, I got the easiest way for you to work with them. Real easy. Send them to me and I'll put them on my bike! Look at all that work I just saved ya! Honestly, I'm looking for a left side black grill, just found out my tabs were broke on that one. Dan
