Hitch question

I got most of the hitch on i got from jeff this weekend, but how much clearace do you have between the bars on the side and the tire.

Bought my hitch off of E-Bay,which was kinda warped, I straighten it out the best I could not bad either once installed,but the right side vertical bar is slightly closer to the tire than the vertical left bar

Right vertical bar is about 1'' from the wheel left one is about 1 1/2 to 2'' away but works just fine for me have no trouble with trailer.

 

? Vertical bars or Horizontal bars ?

Clay the clearance depends on the hitch type I have seen as much as 2" and as little as 1/4"
