We stayed in las vegas for 2 days sorry no pics. We wandered around lost a couple hundred and had a good time. there are to many people going 90mph for my taste. While walking down the strip with my wife and son there were lines of small brown people shoving business card in my face for other types of slot machines. the side walk was covered with these cards they all had pictures of ladys in their birthday suits. I guess I am just a country hick because I have never seen anything quite like that before. There must be a hundred thousand cars for sale there. There were lots of buildings under construction but nobody was working on them I guess the money just ran out.

I've been there twice in the last 3 years for a seminar. We took a coupld days to sight see. It's definitely a different place. If you're into people watching this is the place. We did do the buffet lunch at the Bellagio and that was some unbelievable food. It's the type of place that I really have no desire to go back to see anymore.

We went at Christmas and saw the little brown people passing out cards and went to the buffet and just people watched. Hard to imagine they are allowed to hand out the cards to anyone that walks by.

I would never waste my money going back again. Unless it was in my way to get some place else.

I could not believe the over the top attitude and the cost of the buildings they either built or were building. All I could think about was the money pissed away on stuff like chandeliers hanging in car port that cost more than my house, while people were out of work and living on the street wondering what to do next.

People were preoccupied with the ME, ME, ME, attitude.

No thanks seen it once, that was more than enough!

Others may enjoy it but not me!

The wife and I have friends who live in the Burbs of Vegas. He is with the Vegas PD and says his employment and abundant overtime is guaranteed thanks to the level of crime there. His wife is a ER Nurse and she can tell some horrific stories about what she has seen at the Hospital.

My girlfriend's brother made a point to collect as many of those cards as he could during his two trips out there. If you knew him you'd understand. :hihi:

Myself, I've never been out there. I'd like to at least once, just to say I'd been there. I'm not the gambling type though, so I'd probably just go for the sights, and to see some shows.

My brother has lived there for most of his adult life. One of the few places a person can make a living as a musician. It's great to visit his family in the burbs, but I avoid downtown unless I'm going to watch the show he is in. Seems like everyone you meet is an "operator" with their own little scam going on. My brother has been robbed so often he keeps a fake id and fake credit cards in his wallet and his real ID and money in his sock. When they rob you on the street they take your shoes so you can't run after them.

When my brother was younger he met a couple that made their living by using the woman as bait. She would pick up a guy, take him to a place, her boyfriend would then beat the guy and take his money and wallet and the hapless victim would be informed not to call the police or he would be hunted down and killed.

I have no desire to go back there except to see family.

Hold on Pards, there's a bright side to Las Begas. Being from Nevada, the state WITH MILES OF LONELY INCREDIBLE BIKERS HIGHWAYS and Reno in particular, I can't tell you how much Las Vegas means to us up here in the mountains where spring time has arrived and Lake Tahoe still has snow.

You see Las Vegas is built on what the humans want in a place to visit. Vegas has dramatically changed in the last 15 years to reflect "boomers" as we morphed into the "greedy geezers." Vegas is for non Nevadans to come, spend and loose. If it were not for Vegas EXCESSES, Reno would have become the city catering to outsider in need of letting it all "hang out" for a couple of nights. Instead of blaming the devil, visitors can blame their bad behavior on being in Las Vegas.

I can only tell you that if it were not for Vegas we'd be dodging crazies on cells while cruising scenic mountain roads going out for a wonderful summers eve hear a concert in town paying less than $10 for a steak dinner instead of $50 and never having to worry about little brown people. So from Reno, thank God for Begas and Oscar Goodman the mob lawyer who's the Mayor

I never had any problems on my 2 visits. Maybe it's the fact I am 6'5 and 275 and look like a cop. Also I traveled with several other cops so we felt pretty secure. It's an interesting place but I'd never live there or waste an entire vacation there.

been there 10 plus times and look forward to my next visit, When you really want to let go and have some fun this is the place, but if you are a goodie two shoes lol and dont like seeing people getting a little crazy this is not the place for you or your kids. Ive done and been everywhere in that town and never had a problem.

Brenda and I enjoy Vegas. We visit once every couple of years. Play some slots, blackjack and roulette. Mostly go for the shows and to walk the casinos.

My wife was in Vegas about three weeks ago for a seminar. She got so sick of seeing these little brown people handing out cards that she lost herself at one point and blurted out to one of them that he was the most despicable man she'd ever seen. She was immediately a little shocked at what she had just done. She was just so sick of it. Even the couple she was walking with were getting propped. Other than the seminar, she couldn't wait to get out of the city. The highlight of her week was renting a Harley Softail Deluxe on the last day and riding through the wilderness. She also went across the Hoover Dam.

I was not offended by anything I saw there or the money I left behind I had a good time and after 2 days I was ready to leave and head for the mountains. If I was in the area I would go back but I would not make a special trip.
