hdroyer Posted August 21, 2007 #1 Posted August 21, 2007 The wife is now riding with me and complains she has no place to lock her helmet. I could use a helmet lock with out key I have a locksmith that Will re key for $7.50. If you have one you can part with let me know. Allen thank you so very much for the end caps!!! Dale 83V-STd.
Guest Popeye Posted August 21, 2007 #2 Posted August 21, 2007 My last scoot didn't have helmet locks so I used a cable lock that came with one of my pistols. They look like a regular padlock, but have a rubber coated cable instead of a the usual non-flexible steel. Worked great & didn't scratch. Also, JC Whitney, & others, sell fitted 7/8 or 1" helmet locks cheap enough. A bicycle padlock will also work just as well. The gun lock was actually easier than fumbling around under the trunk, like I do on my 86 VR.

Seems my new bride isn't into buying any new weapons soon so I think it's safe to part with one :rotf:Let me know.
