Here is a link where I got my LED tail light. It looks great and is nice and bright. It plugs right in where the regular bulb goes and is held in by the screws that hold the lens on. I use the stock red lens cover.

I'll second the LED tail lights from Biker Hi-way.

Here is the review I wrote up on these.

Add the Back-off XP module and your lights will look great.

What do you want to use the LEDs for????

Too many applications for LEDs to make a single recommendation.

Brake light?

Accessory brake light/s?

Turn Signals?

Running lihgts?

Head light?

Passing lamp?

Driving lamps?

Courtesy lamp in the trunk or over the saddle bags?

"accent" lighting?

Dash light?

Flashlight or headlamp for road side emergencies?

I want to put it on the trunk for braking/running lights.

Lightbar fits perfectly between the helmet locks under the trunk - $20 from JCW.

Here is a link. The light bar is very bright, like a brake light, but only comes with two wires (just on or off). To use it as both running light and brake light you need to build a little "pig tail" with a 220 ohm resistor and two diodes. Different LED lights sometimes need different sized resistors to get the right level for the running light, anywhere from 150 - 330 ohms. There are instructions for that somewhere here, or I could mail you one for about $6.

There is a lot of information here on the forum for using a 15 inch stop/tail/turn light from semi trailers.
