Norm Posted May 5, 2009 #3 Posted May 5, 2009 Here is a link where I got my LED tail light. It looks great and is nice and bright. It plugs right in where the regular bulb goes and is held in by the screws that hold the lens on. I use the stock red lens cover. Here is the review I wrote up on these. http://www.venturerider.org/viewarticle.php?articleid=56 Add the Back-off XP module and your lights will look great.
KiteSquid Posted May 5, 2009 #5 Posted May 5, 2009 What do you want to use the LEDs for???? Too many applications for LEDs to make a single recommendation. Brake light? Accessory brake light/s? Turn Signals? Running lihgts? Head light? Passing lamp? Driving lamps? Courtesy lamp in the trunk or over the saddle bags? "accent" lighting? Dash light? Flashlight or headlamp for road side emergencies?
edsfidc Posted May 12, 2009 Author #6 Posted May 12, 2009 I want to put it on the trunk for braking/running lights.

CMIKE Posted May 12, 2009 #9 Posted May 12, 2009 Take a look at my profile...Most all Custom dynamics stuff... also see this link to a movie of the rear end LEDs http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=32917 You can't go wrong with any LED's added to the rear end of the RSV not matter who sales them or where you get them from. Some are better than others but they all look good in my opinion.
Sleeperhawk Posted May 12, 2009 #10 Posted May 12, 2009 Also, a link that I put up last year, contains part numbers and where I got the parts. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=27465
edsfidc Posted May 12, 2009 Author #11 Posted May 12, 2009 Lightbar fits perfectly between the antenna mounts under the trunk - $20 from JCW. Goose V7 Goose, What is JCW? What is the name of the website? Thanks. Ed
V7Goose Posted May 12, 2009 #12 Posted May 12, 2009 V7 Goose, What is JCW? What is the name of the website? Thanks. Ed Here is a link. The light bar is very bright, like a brake light, but only comes with two wires (just on or off). To use it as both running light and brake light you need to build a little "pig tail" with a 220 ohm resistor and two diodes. Different LED lights sometimes need different sized resistors to get the right level for the running light, anywhere from 150 - 330 ohms. There are instructions for that somewhere here, or I could mail you one for about $6. http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Product/Pr-p_Product.CATENTRY_ID:2003527/c-10101/Nty-1/p-2003527/Ntx-mode+matchallpartial/N-10101/tf-Browse/s-10101/Ntk-AllTextSearchGroup?Ntt=light+bar Goose
KiteSquid Posted May 13, 2009 #13 Posted May 13, 2009 I want to put it on the trunk for braking/running lights. There is a lot of information here on the forum for using a 15 inch stop/tail/turn light from semi trailers.
