Reaney in NH Posted May 3, 2009 #1 Posted May 3, 2009 Hello everybody, I know this has been covered... but I can't find it. I recently ran accross a how too or a thread on converting the RSV to a combined braking system. So the front and rear work together... Like they do on a Goldwing. Could someone send me info on this or post some links? Thank you Reaney in NH
boominup Posted May 3, 2009 #2 Posted May 3, 2009 The 1st Gens also had that system. Maybe you could retrofit the parts needed?? Brian
Reaney in NH Posted May 3, 2009 Author #3 Posted May 3, 2009 (edited) Great idea.... anybody have thoughts on this? Edited May 3, 2009 by Reaney in NH
Sheradan Posted May 3, 2009 #4 Posted May 3, 2009 I wanted to do the opposite. Two fronts and one rear. Is there a way to do that on my 1st gen?
KiteSquid Posted May 4, 2009 #5 Posted May 4, 2009 I too do not like linked braking systems. On the 1st Gen, you could probally remove a line and plug the connections, but I would have to look thur the service manual to see how. An alternative is to buy a 2nd Gen OR maybe you and Reaney in NH can trade bikes so you can both get the brakes of your dreams.
