Great Ride but I owe $5

We went out with our military contingent for a 200 mile round trip up to Fredricksburg to the Admiral Nimitz/Pearl Harber Museum. We started out at Fort Sam with a safety check on all the bikes. Lonestarmedic and I were the only ventureriders but we ended up with 26 of us, traveling in 3 groups. We headed up US 281 to Blanco for a short pit stop. As the better half and I pulled in to the gas station, I stopped next to some of the other bikes and went to put down the side stand. I went right back up and we went over on the crash bars.........Embarassed can not describe it. I have not put this bike down ever, and now in front of everyone. Marsha said it was because she was on with me, but I should have been able to hold it up with both of us. The rest of the ride was uneventful and we had a great time at the museum followed by lunch downtown. We had a great time and the weather cooperated very well. 80s-90s. JB and I had one of the other riders asking about a venture because his wife won't ride with him on his warrier(do you blame her) Pictures to follow

I was backing mine out of the garage one day about a month ago onto the gravel driveway. I wasn't going anywhere, but I was working on a woodworking project in my "shop", and didn't want sawdust all over the bike. After the initial hump outside the garage it's a slight downhill, and I was coasting backwards very slowly and going to park on the grass. I've done it dozens of times.

Well anyway, to make a long story endless, I wasn't paying much attention. I had my right hand on the front brake and my left hand on the seat coasting back and it started falling over. It was like slow motion, and I couldn't hold it. It went all the way down on the grass. Luckily it didn't hurt anything but I learned how heavy it is when it gets past a certain angle.

Here are a couple of pics, The first one is of part of us at the safety brief. Marsha is leaning on my bike and if you look close JB's (lonestarmedic) ugly mug is over her left shoulder sitting on the wall. The second is the courtyard of the museum celebrating 10 straight presidents that served in the military. Sorry Clinton you screwed that up too.

Here's a shortcut to the museum website, pictures are welcome but I was so involved watching everything that I forgot the camera until we were outside again
