99silver Posted April 30, 2009 Share #1 Posted April 30, 2009 Well, it took a lot longer than I thought but I'm happy with the finished product. Here's a few pic's until I get the Photobucket thing figured out and I can post the entire build. Road tested and ready !!! Have to install the stickers yet. 99silver Posted April 30, 2009 Author Share #3 Posted April 30, 2009 Thanks, I'm real happy for a home built, I don't have a total on the cost yet but it around the $500 range give or take a couple $.
Brake Pad Posted April 30, 2009 Share #4 Posted April 30, 2009 I had built two years back, but went with a store bought, this time round. I was one of the riders that pioneered trailering, I even made my 1st hitch
funrider Posted April 30, 2009 Share #5 Posted April 30, 2009 That is something that I want to do, but got laid off and can't afford to do it now. Nice job
Skid Posted April 30, 2009 Share #6 Posted April 30, 2009 Very nice, I need to get started on mine again. Where did you get the cooler rack? By the way it bolts on I'm guessing its not home made?
99silver Posted April 30, 2009 Author Share #7 Posted April 30, 2009 Yup, Built the hitch as well. Found alot of info on the Delpi trailer forum
Rottdoglover Posted April 30, 2009 Share #8 Posted April 30, 2009 Nice job. True motorcyclist improvise instead of just paying the high $$. Looks like it will haul a good load. Did anyone else notice how the top sorta looks like a saddlebag lid turned around?
ronhenry4 Posted April 30, 2009 Share #9 Posted April 30, 2009 great job!!! looks alot like the piggy packer i bought i paid 650.00 brand new lastyear just didnt have time to build it but yours looks great!

Nice idea. I'll have to keep my eyes open next time I'm in the store. Although with the misses be a little heavier the next six months, I don't expect her to take any long trips this summer so I don't need to be in any rush now. And I just put a new rear tire on tonight and didn't put the hitch back on for this summer. I figured a little less weight might help my advantage with Yammer wanting to challenge me this summer...... that is if he evers gets on the road. Your right in that you built it to satisfy your needs as to how much you will use it. I'm just fond of Chrome and Liquid silver.......
