i get a news letter from 1300T group because i thought about buying one before i got my Venture any way i got one this week and they are putting on some big meet and greet this year in the smokies and from what i am reading Yamaha might pay the food bill. i wll paste what the letter say.

 

 

I have some exciting news! Yamaha has taken notice of our group and wants to participate in our Meet & Greet! Join us June 10th at 5pm at Mountain Motorsports located at 3422 Adventure Lane, Kodak, TN. Yamaha will be footing the bill for a BBQ dinner (still pending approval). The dinner will be catered by Buddy's BBQ (once approved). The buffet will include BBQ Pork with sauce on the side, baked beans, coleslaw, potato chips, and buns. Iced tea and lemonade

will be the beverages available.

We will charge $5 minimum (donate more if you like) per person for dinner, and 100% of these contributions will be donated to the Smoky Mountain Children's Home!

 

has Yamaha ever done this for Venturerider group? i know it says pending approval but they had to get somebody some where to talk to them about it and it is for the childrens home.

Star/Yamaha was all over the World with small numbered but upper End Personnel on Meetings with Vmax Owners ... Some Things the Riders brought to these Folks Attention were actually inherited in the '09 Bike, but to be honest not so much and these Meetings took Place in 2002 and 2003 ....

 

So, even if Bob Starr would take a notice about a 6000 Member Forums(this) and another big Forum(that) with maybe 3000 Members, which probably would make about 7500 Members all in all because of double Membership, they wouldn't hear us ...

 

 

Don't take it personal, but these japanese Guys are stubborn and they will say what you need or not. Sad but True.

FYI

I was in charge of our company picnic a few years ago and I hired Buddy's to cater it. They have some of the best BBQ I've ever had.

June 10th, a wednesday night evening....

I bet a whole bunch of folks will take off work in the middle of the week so they can be fed some BBQ by Yamaha..

If it was on held on the weekend it would cost Yamaha mega bucks...

I wonder if they know that.......

If this was true, why can't it be here in the PA. area? I really don't mind having a free lunch or dinner and some Yamaha test ride.
