Ok, I am curious how many folks are running the MU90B16 and if any uses the MT90B16? The best I can tell the "MU" is about a half inch wider at most. I alway ran the MU but just wondering if anyone is running the MT.

I am running the MU I dont know of anyone running the mt.

I just put my '86 back together after a major spring maintenance. I had the rear tire out 2X. (Forgot the cush drive O ring the first time)

I think you will have a real hard time getting a larger tire into the swingarm.

 

I have a MU90B16 Dunlop 491 Elite 2, and it is already tight. It rubs the plastic drive sheild on the way in. You really need to shove it to get it in.

 

So don't even think about getting a wider tire.

The MT is actually smaller then the MU.The MU is the correct size for the VR

I was just wondering if anyone was running the MT. Its about an half inch narrower than the MU. A local dealer has a Elite II blackwalled for $100.00, but its a MT. I turned it down.
