Within the next 2 weeks I will be putting a new Kumho CT on my Venture. That is a given considering the crappy miles I have been getting with a MC tire on the rear.

I am also considering buying a REAR MC tire and installing it backwards on the FRONT rim.

What say ye gentlemen? Any specific brand should I go with for the front of the scoot?

Boomer......ready for the Darkside.....and Thanks for any responses!

We I think safety is most important. I had a rear tire blow out many years ago and I never want another one. I get 14k out of Avon on the rear and would get about 19k n the front but I change them both at the same time. When I have to trade safety to save money I'll take up another sport. I ride a RSV and am looking forward to anti lock breaks on my nest bike.

I still have the skinny Avon on the front of my bike so I can't help ya there yet, but Im sure that any tire would be acceptable.

I plan on going double dangerous on my next set. I'll be running a Federal car tire on the rear and a Metzler rear tire on the front. I had no problems out of the 16" Metzlers I ran on my Roadstar and I liked the way my Roadstar handled with Metzlers on it.

One week ago, I put a harley davidson dunlop 402, MT/90-16WWW REAR tire on the front of my 05 RSTD, (running in reverse direction) and without question, is the best feeling front tire I have ever had, or at least noticed. The first 100 miles, I followed every tar snake, and rode every cement crack I could find, and this thing follows NOTHING!!!

I suppose that I should add that one week before that, I put a Nexen CT, 165/80-15 that I had 2 1/4" WWW vulcanized on each side on the back.

You won't go wrong, but---to each his own.

I have the Goodrich TA on the back and will go with the rear Metzler on the front when I need to replace my front tire. I never had any problems with the Metzler, and I always got better mileage with them than any other motorcycle tire I tried.
