LilBeaver Posted April 29, 2009 #29 Posted April 29, 2009 Jerry: I'm waiting on a tire, it is supposed to be here Thursday, mounted and ready to go by Friday... If all goes according to plan, I'll be there on Saturday. Looking forward to meeting everyone!
Jerry W Posted April 29, 2009 Author #30 Posted April 29, 2009 Great, sounds like this may be a good meet. Maybe it will turn into an annual thing.
flb_78 Posted April 30, 2009 #31 Posted April 30, 2009 Im still in. I'll be bringin some spark plugs to change out instead of a tire.
Schlepporello Posted April 30, 2009 #32 Posted April 30, 2009 Hey Jerry! Have you decided on a time for us to start showing up?
Guest tx2sturgis Posted April 30, 2009 #33 Posted April 30, 2009 Its looking like I will most likely be there...not 100% sure tho...I may make a detour into Wizards on the way up or out....They have my brand of beer and brea***....uh...things to see!
cliffno350 Posted April 30, 2009 #34 Posted April 30, 2009 Would like to be there but am already committed for a pediatric fund raiser ride to Ute lake, maybe next year.
Schlepporello Posted April 30, 2009 #35 Posted April 30, 2009 Would like to be there but am already committed for a pediatric fund raiser ride to Ute lake, maybe next year. I've only been on that stretch of road between Clovis and San Jon one time in my life. It was heavy fog that day and visibility was down to a half a block. Though I couldn't see much to the side of the road, the drive up the caprock looked like it could be interesting on a bike.

This will be a little calmer that Wizzards since there may be some wifes and a couple of my grandkids are going to come over. Meets at my place are pretty calm.

Meets at my place are pretty calm. That works for me just fine. I plan on drinking nothing stronger than straight Pepsi on the rocks. I'm silly enough when sober. I don't need any help.
Jerry W Posted April 30, 2009 Author #38 Posted April 30, 2009 Hey Jerry! Have you decided on a time for us to start showing up? I will have bagels and coffee for the morning and will have burgers in the afternoon. I haven't set a time since we have some traveling a distance. Just come on over, we can have coffee before we start on the bikes. I should have coffee made and be open for business by 9:00AM.

Aight, Gun Club meeting should be over around 9:30 give or take so this will work out pretty good. I forgot but do you have an air compressor and a blow gun?
Schlepporello Posted April 30, 2009 #40 Posted April 30, 2009 I doubt that I'll be there at 9:00, more like 10 or 11. I'd like the missus to take an interest and tag along, but she doesn't like motersickles and has already stated she's staying at home. I've already checked your address on MapQuest. It'll be a snap getting to your house. I might have to swing by R&M Energy to see if anyone's working.

I forgot but do you have an air compressor and a blow gun? Yep, you can't be changing plugs without blowing the junk off the engine first.
flb_78 Posted April 30, 2009 #42 Posted April 30, 2009 Yep, you can't be changing plugs without blowing the junk off the engine first. Hey!! You sayin my bike's dirty!!! Cause it is....
Schlepporello Posted April 30, 2009 #43 Posted April 30, 2009 I hadn't even thought about plugs. Do i need to stop by Sharp's and grab some on my way out?
Jerry W Posted April 30, 2009 Author #44 Posted April 30, 2009 Hey!! You sayin my bike's dirty!!! Cause it is.... Why no Forrest, I was thinking of others. I know your bike is spotless. Well, maybe one spot of dirt. About the size of the bike. I also have a power washer, if anyone wants to wash their bike. Not saying anything, just saying.
flb_78 Posted April 30, 2009 #45 Posted April 30, 2009 I hadn't even thought about plugs. Do i need to stop by Sharp's and grab some on my way out? Sharp's!?!?! Dang, you must have money to burn!! Get em at Autozone for little over a buck a piece. They carry NGK. I buy all my motorcycle plugs at an auto store. I also buy my oil and filters there and my back tire!!!

Schlepporello Posted April 30, 2009 #47 Posted April 30, 2009 Thanks! Didn't even think of the Zone. And there's a new one right in my 'hood on south Washington.
Jerry W Posted April 30, 2009 Author #48 Posted April 30, 2009 Dang, you're gonna be busy cooking beer, serving cold hamburgers and washing my bike!!! You didn't think I was implying YOUR bike was dirty, did ya'? I thought that was just a protective coat to keep the paint from fading.
