1BigDog Posted April 22, 2009 #1 Posted April 22, 2009 Finally finished the bike this past weekend. Took it out to work last night for its shakedown ride. Bike seems to run better and a bit more power with all that AIS crap removed and plenty more room to access stuff now. Repaired some small cracks and painted the Wagner Grill and inserts to match the bike as close as a spray can will allow. I also bought those stick on ports which I was going to apply to the air boxes, however I think they look better on the saddlebags.
Mikealiasmike Posted April 22, 2009 #2 Posted April 22, 2009 I love the buick stick ons. Heck, I think thats one of the best looking ventures I've seen. Nice pics. Thanks for sharing. God Bless. Mike
similost Posted April 22, 2009 #3 Posted April 22, 2009 Sweet lookin bike for sure.. I sure can't wat to start getting mine customized for my taste.. I really like those ports on the bags too.. nice classic look. I had seen that grill cover earlier today while I was "shopping" and wondered what it would look like on the bike.. and now I know... NICE! You did good!
mini-muffin Posted April 22, 2009 #5 Posted April 22, 2009 Not bad looking even for a 2nd gen. :rotf:I do like the stick ons you put on the saddle bags. Pretty cool. Sorry just couldn't resist the 2nd gen thing. Margaret
GlennTuc Posted April 22, 2009 #6 Posted April 22, 2009 Hey Ruffy, What's those little jugs you have on top of your tail lights on picture #3? Glenn
GlennTuc Posted April 22, 2009 #7 Posted April 22, 2009 By the way. That's a very sharp RSV. Hope you don't mind if I use some of your ideas. Great looking bike. Glenn T.
1BigDog Posted April 22, 2009 Author #8 Posted April 22, 2009 Hey Ruffy, What's those little jugs you have on top of your tail lights on picture #3? Glenn I had to look closely....those are sitting on the floor. Just caught the right angle..LOL
SteveW Posted April 22, 2009 #9 Posted April 22, 2009 My first one was a 99 and I always liked the color combo. I have been looking at the stickons at Auto Zone but just not sure where to put some. Yours look great on the back bags. Nice Job !!
Brake Pad Posted April 23, 2009 #10 Posted April 23, 2009 NIce, Ruffy, I just order arm rests, and back rest and truck brake light, from Diamond R

The mufflers are reverse slash Harley Road King mufflers. $30.00 off of Ebay new from a 2004 R/K Way back in 2004. Hillis on this site also sells the mounting brackets. A much cheaper and good looking solution to spending hundreds of bucks on Bubs or something similar. Thanks for all the compliments on the bike. Its like having a gorgeous woman and it costs as much too. A little blink of the headlight and you open your wallet and spoil the b****. :mo money:
highwayrydr Posted April 23, 2009 #14 Posted April 23, 2009 Are these loud compared to stocks? 1BigDog Posted April 23, 2009 Author #15 Posted April 23, 2009 Are these loud compared to stocks? Stock R/K mufflers sound slightly throatier than the RSV pipes. I have mine open all the way now. Not too loud but sometimes at high speeds it gets to be a bit too much in the cockpit area. Mostly running at 80+ on the interstate.

similost Posted April 24, 2009 #18 Posted April 24, 2009 Hey Ruffy.. Who makes the saddle bag trim rails on your bike? Those don't look like the Yamaha rails?
