Here's the deal, Old Hippy wanted Squidley to help him install new SS brake lines, we live halfway between the two so everybody met here. Brad and Lonna and Chuck and Nancy all got here Friday evening. By 11:00pm we had Chuck's 92 VR all stripped down and ready for work. Saturday we installed new SS brake lines and seviced the driveshaft and rear pumpkin. 93 Venture and Pumpkin (Darrin and Deb) came over to join in the fun too. It was a great weekend, upgraded Chuck's bike and had some social time to enjoy our friend's company. It was raining lightly when Chuck and Nancy left so we got to check out their new rainsuits (as you can see from the pics, it would be hard to not see them).

The only downside to this weekend was that I found sidewall cracks in my rear tire while checking the pressure. Avon Venom made in 2006 then we found cracks in Chuck's rear tire, not on the sidewall but in the tread, Avon Venom made in 2006, actually made a week apart from mine. So I'll have a new rear tire on this week. I only had about 3500 miles on this tire kept at 50 lbs. psi.

And to think I had to come over to Columbus Ohio this weekend to meet my boys new girlfriends parents when I could have come up to Elkhart..........

And here I thought only Minnesotans sat in the garage and drank beer and BS'ed.

Looks like you all had a great time especially the ladies!

We had a great time with everyone this weekend, and were glad we brought the truck instead of the bike

:whistling: This was the 1st time in a long while where afterwards we actually had the time to sit around and enjoy everyones company, I could get used to that :)

Chuck was very happy with the brakes as he called me last night when he got home. It's

definitely a great upgrade to install on the 1st gens. Thank you Kevin and Sue for letting me volunteer your abode for the maintenance, it was a great excuse (not that we need one) to come down and see you folks. Lonna and I are going to take a few weekends off now seeing we have been running around like chickens with our heads cut off :yikes:

Great time and thanks again to all for the laughs on Saturday night :thumbsup2:

Kevin and Sue, Thanks for everything. Brad a big thanks to you and a bigger one to Lonna for letting us steal you away. It was great seeing everyone again. Nothing like a premaintenance day to the real one to get in the groove. I will agree the bike stops much easier and smoother. Thanks again Kevin and Sue and I will post some more pictures later.
