Today i remove the class and do the E4 error fix like i saw it here but it doesnt help, does anybody have an idea what E5 means i searched the site but found nothing about E5. would be great if you can help me out sincerly harry
kbert777 Posted April 18, 2009 #2 Posted April 18, 2009 The error code E5 refers to a controller malfunction. The trouble shooting tree in the manual is short and sweet, if the controller displays E5 after power on, replace the controller. You can download the factory service manual here: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=3384 The CLASS troubleshooting is in chapter 7. Hope this helps, Klaus
Yammer Dan Posted April 18, 2009 #3 Posted April 18, 2009 E 5 is Control Unit Has Trouble Make sure battery is up good. It doesn't give much info on this one. Book says E 5 The error sign always appears with the main switch turned to ACC YES The Controller is Abnormal NO In good Condition
Condor Posted April 19, 2009 #4 Posted April 19, 2009 Perhaps the Class Controller needs to be resoldered.....
skydoc_17 Posted April 19, 2009 #5 Posted April 19, 2009 Hey Harry, I turn a pretty fair wrench but when it comes to electric problems I'm all thumbs. It took me three times to solve my E5 error on my CLASS System. Take another shot at it, you might get lucky. Earl
RedRocket Posted April 19, 2009 #6 Posted April 19, 2009 Simple question. I thought my CLASS was broken, because I couldn't see anything in the screen. I just discovered that it does work when the key is on Accesory. Is that normal?
sarges46 Posted April 19, 2009 #7 Posted April 19, 2009 For safety reasons thats the only way it will work...when the key is set to acc.
Yammer Dan Posted April 19, 2009 #8 Posted April 19, 2009 Look it over good. My E3 was caused by mudaubbers building nest in intake line.
HarryAustria Posted April 19, 2009 Author #9 Posted April 19, 2009 good morning guys, thank u for the quick answers. i will check the voltage tomorrow and see how strong it is. if it is to low i will try to take another battery with jumper cables to my bike and see what happens. i will also check the front connectors cause the monitor warning light says an back and brakelightfailure but all bulbs are ok and working. one other thing: i work at an yamaha dealer ship and can can find out if parts are still avaible if somebody need to know. i can also download the full spareparts catalogs if somebody need them too. sincerly harry
