Condor Posted April 17, 2009 #1 Posted April 17, 2009 How many members would be interested in doing another fork brace group buy for the 1stGens. If there's enough interest we could do it again.....
friesman Posted April 17, 2009 #2 Posted April 17, 2009 How many members would be interested in doing another fork brace group buy for the 1stGens. If there's enough interest we could do it again..... Hey Jack , after the last Mac muffler buy that went into overtime, A few of us are starting to think youre a bit masochistic.....careful people are starting to talk...lol! Brian

Condor Posted April 17, 2009 Author #4 Posted April 17, 2009 Hey Jack , after the last Mac muffler buy that went into overtime, A few of us are starting to think youre a bit masochistic.....careful people are starting to talk...lol! Brian Actually the group buy for the fork braces didn't hurt at all. The only problem... if we could call it that, was the total number of braces. 65!! Lots of packing, but they were small and easy. After the last buy .... notice I don't mention the name...... I need to heal...
Ndiaz Posted April 17, 2009 #5 Posted April 17, 2009 I'd be interested in a fork brace for my 88 VR. How much would they be? Nick Diaz Middletown, MD
Condor Posted April 17, 2009 Author #6 Posted April 17, 2009 I'd be interested in a fork brace for my 88 VR. How much would they be? Nick Diaz Middletown, MD Don't know yet, but it'll be a heck of a lot better than a Super Brace. I'm hoping they'll be around $75 bucks shipping included....??
Ndiaz Posted April 17, 2009 #7 Posted April 17, 2009 Sounds good, Condor. Keep me in mind. Thank you! Nick Diaz Middletown, MD
timgray Posted April 17, 2009 #8 Posted April 17, 2009 I'm all over that one, I'm in for a Condor Superbrace!
utadventure Posted April 17, 2009 #9 Posted April 17, 2009 Jack- Did you see the brace that Bob Myers made - pretty sharp looking! Dave
Condor Posted April 17, 2009 Author #10 Posted April 17, 2009 I'm all over that one, I'm in for a Condor Superbrace! Shhhh!!!! don't call 'm SB's. SB will get mad at us.... Condor Brace is OK.... but I just call 'm a Forkin' Brace... Also this thread is just a scientific market test to see if we'd get enough interest to warrant a group buy.
SapperMedic Posted April 17, 2009 #12 Posted April 17, 2009 Count me in for one, if we get enough interest Wilkie
SaltyDog Posted April 17, 2009 #14 Posted April 17, 2009 I'm interested in a stronger fork brace for my '83 standard XVZ12.
RedRocket Posted April 18, 2009 #16 Posted April 18, 2009 Can anyone explain to me how Condor, or Superbrace braces are different from the factory one on top of my fender. Does the factory one use rubber mounts or something????
GeorgeS Posted April 18, 2009 #17 Posted April 18, 2009 Can anyone explain to me how Condor, or Superbrace braces are different from the factory one on top of my fender. Does the factory one use rubber mounts or something???? The aftermarket, Superbrace, is simply , thicker material, Stronger.
jcdas Posted April 28, 2009 #20 Posted April 28, 2009 I might be interested. How much shipped to Mississauga, Ontario, Canada? I haven't followed this fully. Is this a custom designed one, or a Super Brace?
Condor Posted April 29, 2009 Author #21 Posted April 29, 2009 I might be interested. How much shipped to Mississauga, Ontario, Canada? I haven't followed this fully. Is this a custom designed one, or a Super Brace? I'm just guessing but probably around $20 bucks. The last time we did this they ran $17.78, and it's been about a year since then. Prices have gone up. IT IS NOT A SUPER BRACE Although the function might be the same, to call them an SB would be copy right infringement. Attached is a pic.
mkrieg Posted April 29, 2009 #22 Posted April 29, 2009 I have a stupid question, how can I tell if the fork brace on my bike is factory or aftermarket? Does the factory brace have any distinguishing marks?
RedRocket Posted April 29, 2009 #23 Posted April 29, 2009 I have a stupid question, how can I tell if the fork brace on my bike is factory or aftermarket? Does the factory brace have any distinguishing marks? It's about 1/2 as thick as the one in Condor's picture.
Craig Gulley Posted April 29, 2009 #25 Posted April 29, 2009 I would be interested. At that price how could you not want one.
