SilvrT Posted April 16, 2009 #1 Posted April 16, 2009 Snapped a few pics of springtime downtown Vancouver at the entrance to the SkyTrain.
LilBeaver Posted April 16, 2009 #2 Posted April 16, 2009 Very nice. I've been up there once (last october) and will be going back at least 3 times this summer, plus many more in the future... In my current research I use one of the beam lines at TRIUMF. Wish I could bring my bike up on these trips! Enjoy it friend!!
SilvrT Posted April 16, 2009 Author #4 Posted April 16, 2009 Great pics. Are those dogwoods? The pink ones are Japanese cherry trees... I'm not sure about the white ones... I'll have to look closer at the petals to see if they are dogwood.
Black Owl Posted April 16, 2009 #5 Posted April 16, 2009 Great pics... Nice to see the trees starting to bloom. But, when do the ladies come out of hibernation?
Guest seuadr Posted April 16, 2009 #6 Posted April 16, 2009 The pink ones are Japanese cherry trees... very beautiful trees. thanks for sharing.

petekadish Posted April 16, 2009 #8 Posted April 16, 2009 but, you wouldn't know it unless you looked at a calendar. Check out the attached pictures I shot this morning The last couple of days have been crazy for weather. Three weeks ago, it was 74 degrees on one Saturday. The last two days (in the middle of April), it's been snowing like crazy. Next Tuesday, it's supposed to be about 75 degrees. This is clearly more evidence of Global Warming. I just want to ride! Pete.

SilvrT Posted April 16, 2009 Author #10 Posted April 16, 2009 Great pics. Are those dogwoods? I took a closer look and yes, they are Dogwood trees (the white ones). Actually, the petals have pinkish coloring at the outer edges.
mini-muffin Posted April 17, 2009 #11 Posted April 17, 2009 Well our trees are all bloomed now. Of course the pollen is way up now too. Oh well I'll take the stuffy nose, watery and burning itchy eyes instead of cold. Now if it would just get up above 40. it will be in the 70's this weekend though. Margaret
