Yammer Dan Posted April 16, 2009 #1 Posted April 16, 2009 I bought a part from kncklhd 1 in White Plains, Maryland. They lost it. Anyone had any dealings with this E-Bay member? How do you loose a 40 lb part before you ship it? Got my money back but really wanted part.
Yammer Dan Posted April 16, 2009 Author #2 Posted April 16, 2009 This is GRD Cycles in White Plains. Anyone heard of them??
twowheelsonly Posted April 16, 2009 #3 Posted April 16, 2009 Hey man, I know i's tough when you lose something you want, I had UPS lose a 150 pound transmission I ordered for my car, I am not sure where it ended up I think UPS must have a lot of stuff under their conveyor belts or it dropped out of the truck somewhere
FROG MAN Posted April 16, 2009 #4 Posted April 16, 2009 I bet they lost it right out the door for more money. They may have underestimated shipping cost to.
Yammer Dan Posted April 16, 2009 Author #5 Posted April 16, 2009 Yeah I got a great deal on it. Was patting myself on back.
Marcarl Posted April 16, 2009 #6 Posted April 16, 2009 I've lost some parts in my time, but I don't think any of them weighted in at 40 lbs, mind you there could be an argument over that, but that part I've still got,,,,,,I think.
Yammer Dan Posted April 16, 2009 Author #7 Posted April 16, 2009 I'll be watching for them to relist it. They took offer deal I made. 102 bucks. At least I got my money back.
bongobobny Posted April 16, 2009 #8 Posted April 16, 2009 What are you buying, something for the bike??
Yammer Dan Posted April 17, 2009 Author #9 Posted April 17, 2009 Surprise for someone!! Right Squeeze?
Skid Posted April 17, 2009 #10 Posted April 17, 2009 Surprise for someone!! Right Squeeze? Better be a big Turbo if you expect to out-run Brown Sugar..... or a jet engine...
Yammer Dan Posted April 17, 2009 Author #11 Posted April 17, 2009 Turbo not needed but I have a extra one!! Just can't quite figure out where to mount that intercooler. Yet!!!
Yammer Dan Posted April 17, 2009 Author #12 Posted April 17, 2009 They tell me they shipped it but have no record of shipping it. Sounds like they didn't want to part with it at that price? Thing is they accepted my offer. Then gave me my money back. Maybe found out it was worth more or got better offer?? Back to looking.
Yammer Dan Posted April 17, 2009 Author #13 Posted April 17, 2009 UPS tells me they never shipped it.
Squeeze Posted April 17, 2009 #14 Posted April 17, 2009 I guess i smelled that one coming it would have been a good Deal ... I'm sorry to say, but i think you got screwed. I'd give them another two Days to "find" the Part and let them know, you'll report to Ebay about that Deal and send them a nice RED Comment.
Yammer Dan Posted April 18, 2009 Author #15 Posted April 18, 2009 Thats what i'm thinking Squeeze. I got my money back but I wanted that thing!!
Condor Posted April 18, 2009 #16 Posted April 18, 2009 Thats what i'm thinking Squeeze. I got my money back but I wanted that thing!! Did I miss something? What the 'H' is 'that thing'???
Condor Posted April 18, 2009 #18 Posted April 18, 2009 I didn't say. You taking lessons from Marcarl??? :rotf:
Yammer Dan Posted April 18, 2009 Author #19 Posted April 18, 2009 "UGLY" don't jump quick enough when I twist right hand. Taking care of that.
Condor Posted April 18, 2009 #21 Posted April 18, 2009 "UGLY" don't jump quick enough when I twist right hand. Taking care of that. Ahah!... Bigger spring assist shocks... I would have never guessed....
Yammer Dan Posted April 18, 2009 Author #22 Posted April 18, 2009 Nothing that fancy. Just a set of rear gears. Didn't get them anyway. That V-Boost is interesting.
Condor Posted April 18, 2009 #23 Posted April 18, 2009 Nothing that fancy. Just a set of rear gears. Didn't get them anyway. That V-Boost is interesting. Now how in the 'H' can they lose a V-Max final. I picked up one listed on Ebay for a little more than that, but after talking with Squeeze it's tough to figure out if it's actually off a V-Max. Some of these Ebay sellers dealing with Venture parts like to label their things as V-Max even tho it came off a Venture. I have seen finals listed as V-Max and when I questions the seller I found it actually came off a 1stGen. '83-'93. Their excuse... 'Oh it'll fit'....and most of them don't know there's a difference. I think if I ever buy another V-Max final I want to be standing there watching them take it off the bike.... and even then it may be a Venture final that a V-Max owner has swaped out??? Go figure....
Dano Posted April 18, 2009 #24 Posted April 18, 2009 That V-Boost is interesting. Still in the cabinet, will get around to it one of these years. Gotta modify air box to fit, cut about an inch out of it. Manual thumb lever control. Dan
Yammer Dan Posted April 19, 2009 Author #25 Posted April 19, 2009 It wasn't V-Max but I don't see how you could loose something like that. Had two E-Mails from Two different people there claiming they boxed it and shipped it. I should have gotten two of them. Got you wondering again Jack?
