1BigDog Posted April 15, 2009 #27 Posted April 15, 2009 "Hotel California" (Eagles) or "Bridge of Sighs" (Robin Trower). Earl 10 Years After - Essential I remember seeing Trower open for Jethro Tull at Shea stadium and 10 Years After opening for Grand Funk Railroad at Shea stadium in NY AC/DC-For Those About To Rock. Yep, anything AC/DC..also ZZ Top. Toss in Rock and Roll Jesus by Kid Rock too.
RedRider Posted April 15, 2009 #28 Posted April 15, 2009 (edited) Kansas - Leftoverture Did someone actually say ABBA ? http://www.advrider.com/forums/images/smilies/ymca.gif Edited April 15, 2009 by RedRider
IH Truck Guy Posted April 15, 2009 #30 Posted April 15, 2009 Any album by Hall and Oates............................................................... Just kidding, Any thing by Stevie Ray...
bj66 Posted April 15, 2009 Author #31 Posted April 15, 2009 i was thinkin maybe BTO "Not Fragile", but now may have to think some more!!!
big mike Posted April 15, 2009 #32 Posted April 15, 2009 Jimmy Buffett, no question! I have the box set if that is legal, if not then any album would do for me. He's the kind of singer that you can sit back and drink a cold one to and never get tired of listening to. And yes I do brew beer, so if any of you are questioning where I would get it on a desert island, come join me i'll find a way to make it! Big Mike....who's thinking a desert island is not a bad idea right now.
Cinderella Posted April 16, 2009 #35 Posted April 16, 2009 well lets see.....being a woman.....the first thing i would do is build my self a raft or some sort of transportation.......and then i would make my rounds visiting each of you so I could listen to more than 1 album...... but......some of you id visit a little longer than others.......
timgray Posted April 16, 2009 #36 Posted April 16, 2009 Audiobook: US navy survival guide "survival evasion and recovery" Heck with music, I need to listen to track 4, "plants you can eat" a few more times. I figure the navy survival guide would have more island specific stuff in it.
Stratcat Posted April 16, 2009 #37 Posted April 16, 2009 Live at the regal BB King...Ok I'm showing my age but one of the most emotional live performances ever recorded, he rocked the house and his playing and his pipes were in their prime!
Mikealiasmike Posted April 16, 2009 #38 Posted April 16, 2009 [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BARLfUmyBJA]Styx - Come Sail Away[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zg-ivWxy5KE]Commodores - Sail On[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yvmRrwwFGgM]Sailing to Boston Part 1[/ame] etc... if not one of these that would get my happy butt safe then the all time party album.. Meatloaf- Bat out of Hell.
WilCruise Posted April 16, 2009 #39 Posted April 16, 2009 Extremely tough one for me considering this is how I'm spoiled now (thanks to Mary allowing the indulgence of the 2nd hobby / lifestyle without complaint) http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3562/3402651948_44278c05f8.jpg?v=0 I'd probably, ultimately go with Robin Trower's "Bridge of Sighs" if I was pressed into it today. The "FAVE" changes every couple of months though. Other likely candidates would include (all ideally on LP rather than CD assuming it could be played back on proper gear): Steely Dan - earlier stuff Allman Bros - Eat a Peach Little Feat - Waiting for Columbus (you can see that one in the middle above) Fleetwood Mac - Live (LP only) Dire Straits - pre Brother in Arms Earl Klugh - Soda Fountain Blues James Newton Howard - JNH and Friends
DragonRider Posted April 16, 2009 #40 Posted April 16, 2009 It would have to be the Allman Bros. Greatest Hits.............:dancefool:
highwaypeg Posted April 17, 2009 #41 Posted April 17, 2009 It really does not matter what album I would want to hear, because there is no electricity to play it. But sense you asked, I guess a good country album by Alan Jackson probably. I could at least look at his photos. highwaypeg
jarrejx Posted April 17, 2009 #42 Posted April 17, 2009 Without a doubt, CARLOS SANTANA & BUDDY MILES LIVE!!!
