Sideoftheroad Posted April 17, 2009 #30 Posted April 17, 2009 ...speed rating of "H", is that o.k.? Shouldn't be a problem unless you plan on going over 130 mph http://www.avon-tyres.co.uk/motorcycle/?page=technical&subpage=tech_speed
Weedhole Posted April 17, 2009 #31 Posted April 17, 2009 I have used both the E3's and the Avon Venoms. I would recommend the Venom over the E3. In my experence the E3's are inferior in traction / grip. They tend to slide around under hard braking and it doesn't take much to break them loose on wet pavement.

I'm having troubles finding the Venoms in the stock sizes for the bike

Tom Posted April 20, 2009 #35 Posted April 20, 2009 Avon Sizes are: 150/80-16 71H Front 150/90B15 M/C 80H Rear Above was probably a type o like I do many times so I just copied and pasted from the Yamaha Website the following Tires/Front150/80-16http://www.starmotorcycles.com/assets/common/line.gifTires/Rear150/90-15
FL-Venture-Rider Posted April 22, 2009 Author #36 Posted April 22, 2009 Thanks, looks like theres about a $50.00 difference between the E3's and the Venoms I'll probabley just go with the Venoms at this point
