SteveW Posted April 13, 2009 #2 Posted April 13, 2009 Hi Kevin Where did you have your hack installed ? When they installed mine they made brackets up and had never installed a champion hack before on a Venture. I'll take some pic's today and get them off to you. It might not help much if its installed in a different way then your was. Sorry for the delay on the pic's. Steve
kwisor Posted April 13, 2009 Author #3 Posted April 13, 2009 Thanks steve i have the univeral bkts but i may change that the biggest thing i didn't like was the frt upper bkt was in the way if my brake peddle and foot rest if something different is there i may do that and i do not remember where the rear lower one was attatched thank you bumble bee kevin wisor 1999 rsv jax fl
skzoid Posted April 14, 2009 #5 Posted April 14, 2009 Steve - will you send the pics to me also. subterranea@juno.com I have a Champion Escort I bought on ebay a couple years ago. I then ordered the bike-side parts from Champion. Long story short: Their customer service (Larry) sucks. I never got the correct instructions and had to pay twice for the steering damper bracket. The instructions they sent me show the steering damper going through where our cowling (and damn near where your radiator cover) is. Mostly I would like a picture straight down between the bike and hack so I can see the angle of the connections. i see your hack isn't an Escort but I would think Champion would have their sidecars all hook up similar. Thanks in advance. Dan
SteveW Posted April 14, 2009 #6 Posted April 14, 2009 The Pic's are on the way, I made my own dampener bracket. Steve
greg_in_london Posted April 14, 2009 #7 Posted April 14, 2009 I have some pictures of my sidecar fittings at: http://s252.photobucket.com/albums/hh10/greg_in_london/venture/ Unfortunately it probably won't help much as you have the sidecar on the wrong side, but it may be of some interest. You might find some other pictures in the sidecars and trikes thread...
