Gary N. Posted April 12, 2009 #1 Posted April 12, 2009 I finally got back out in the garage yesterday and finished doing all the work that I had planned to get done on the bike over the winter and had been procrastinating about. I even repaired the windshield bracket where the plastic tabs had broken. Never fails, read about something on here, go out and check the bike and sure enough there it is, broke. Oh well, I made up the brackets welded them to the ends of the windshield bracket and bolted them to the speakers. Good to go. Just had to change the oil and wash the bike. I got the oil change done this morning. Then we were invited to an Easter brunch at noon. So I figure as soon as we get back I'll give it a quick wash and I can go out and enjoy the rest of this beautiful day and break in the new tires. OH NO! I no more then finished drying off the bike and in comes the neighbours to visit. They leave and in come some other friends to visit too. By now it's about 6:30 and the temp is dropping and it's time to eat. No ride today, but it was close. Hope it's nice tomorrow.
ibents Posted April 12, 2009 #2 Posted April 12, 2009 Hey Gary, I managed to get out today did about 160 Km a little cool out there came home with rosie cheeks but it was really refreshing. If you want to ride sometime, drop me a note I'll be glad to join you, Ian
Scooter Bob Posted April 12, 2009 #3 Posted April 12, 2009 OH NO! I no more then finished drying off the bike and in comes the neighbours to visit. I'm usually afraid to take that chance, guess that's why my bike usually looks like crap. Better Luck Next Time, Scooter Bob
Roadhand Posted April 13, 2009 #4 Posted April 13, 2009 Well Gary, sorry you did not get to ride today. Down here it turned out to be a very pretty afternoon after a little rain that ended about 10:00 AM and then turned sunny and about 70. I am coming your way the mid June. I hope it warms up a bit before I get there.
Guest BluesLover Posted April 13, 2009 #5 Posted April 13, 2009 Hey Gary - that's too bad!!! I've only been able to get in about 4,500 kms so far this year myself! A few of us are actually heading out in your general direction today - thought we might do Lighthouse Cove for lunch, but apparently it is closed, so we're going to a yet-to-be-determined location for lunch. Cheers,

Guest BluesLover Posted April 14, 2009 #10 Posted April 14, 2009 You don't have to rub it in you know. I've been having fun too just not on the bike. I'll bet you have !!! LOL We never did make it in your direction. Headed up to Aunt Gussie's in Grand Bend instead. Was a bit cool on the way there, considerably warmer for most of the return trip. Never did get the sunshine they promised :-( We've got to get together soon mister ... heading to Moonshine, IL on Thursday morning for a burger, will be back home on Sunday. Maybe some day next week, if the weather cooperates, we can hook up. Cheers,
