Could he be refering to the clutch switch???? As that should be tied into the cruise control, in addition to the starter interlock.....

You are looking for SWITCH 26H-82917-00-00.... Here is a European link, but their listing is a bit missed up. The picture shows item #13, but the order listing shows item #12, with the correct part #...... The cost of 2 new mirrors, including shipping was less than the cost of 1 mirror, from the USA parts listings, that I check...
