calperin Posted April 8, 2009 #1 Posted April 8, 2009 Any one has any idea about how to get the right crash bars for my RS'97? I know that I get those on a Star parts on a two years old catalog, but it seems that nobody else is selling those parts any more. Also, I saw a Lindsay model that I don't like for this bike. I 'm looking for something more round style more than the emblem kind Lindsay has. THanks
wes0778 Posted April 8, 2009 #2 Posted April 8, 2009 (edited) I bought Barrons from Cruiser Customizing (CruiserCustomizing.com). They were about $190.00 including shipping. The part # is BA-7100-00. Went right on, yeah Right!!! In the instructions they mention that due to manufacturing tollerences you may need to (I forget the exact wording) push, pull, bend and/or :scorched:adjust them. They weren't kidding. But once they are on they look kinda nice... :sign brain fart:Oh, something I almost forgot, don't count on your local stealership to have the recommended bottom bolts. I had to go to the local Ace Hardware store. If my feeble brain serves me right you need M6x1.25 thread bolts. I got the grade 8 flanged ones that were long enough to go through so I could put jam nuts on the back side. Edited April 8, 2009 by wes0778 brain fart and now found the receipt with part #
tazmocycle Posted April 9, 2009 #3 Posted April 9, 2009 i got my baron's during star days for $175 shipped. you can also look at hellrisers.com they carry some parts for the early royals. i didn't like the lindy bars either.

Thanks for the info. this kind is exactly what I was looking for but I didn't see these ones on CruiserCustomizing. Only the Lindsay ones. Are not this a little too bigs? Another question: where did you got the saddlebags bars? I'm looking for get ones too. We have almost same bike, difference mine is Burgundy and Cream. Thanks again Carlos

Thanks again Carlos I think the saddle bag bars come stock from Yammie. At least all the bikes, i've seen, like ours already have them have them. If they are not on yours, I think the lindsay ones come as a "set" which includes the rear bars. I gotta say though, they look "pricey"!
