Yup you did...... I saw it & thought it would get dumped, as North American humor & attitudes is nothing like the British & European variety.

Some here (probably not many), would know of the Benny Hill show.

I watched Benny hill as a kid......how else do you think I can put up with you????:stickpoke:

This will happen more and more as MORE Moderators

are added to the a site, Just part if it's nature.

I used to run 3 of them years ago. the more I added

the worse it got. so I closed the site's one at a time..

I myself will NEVER be an Administrator or Moderator Ever Again!

Hard Job to do , baby sit-- and be the bad guy!:no-no-no: it sucks.

Life is just way to much fun for me now days! :happy65:

I do not understand why kids are on the site

anyways. I guess they could be looking over your

shoulder maybe, :scratchchin: I have never seen anything

that has offend me here yet. If it did. I would

report it to a Moderator :whistling: .

The biggest reason a thread is removed is because of personal attacks on each other. We would not email everybody in the thread to tell them the thread was deleted because of something going on between other members.

Very rarely is a thread removed because of bad taste.

I can understand the desire of some who would like to be notified if their post is deleted but it is just not practical. The moderators would spend all their time in arguments with members who are offended and want to fight. Like it or not there are kids who see this site and some fine ladys as well. Bottom line is the reason we are all here is because of the excelent management that keeps this site civil and fun.

Folks, this is really not that complicated. It is a PG site. Most folks know when they are crossing the line and some seem to take pleasure in seeing how close they can get to that line. VERY few but some.

Some things that get deleted are jokes that cross the line and are too sexual in nature.

Discussions that turn into personal attacks between just a couple of members. If it gets to that point, take it offline please. There is nothing to prove to all the other members if you get in a spat with another member.

Sometimes your post may get deleted if it is in response to another one and you "quote" it in your response. Does little good to delete a post and leave yours if that original post is quoted within it.

Come on folks...we've been around for almost 5 years now, most of you KNOW where the line is.

Bill it was a post I put up where I stated my true feelings for what I would do if a Revolution ever came to this Country. I meant what I said too. After serving in 2 wars on behalf of this Country I surely know how to look a man in the eye and pull the trigger on him.

Anywhoooo.....I bailed out for a bit but friends here kept e-mailing me so here I is back on the Site again.

I agree with your sentiment 100% and I have your six for sure.

Boomer.....who is not politically correct and is too old to bend over and kiss anyone's butt.

boomer, don't know if your post was over the line, i did'nt read it. but i liked your answer to my responce. glad your back, nothing wrong with standing by your beliefs as long as they don't have an ill affect on others. i've weathered a few butt kickings in my day, but i stand by what i believe in. bill :2133: :245:

Ok and I did a post to thread and thinking it was kind of a glitch that did not show up. It was a play on words but I did not think I was pushing it, or am I wrong.

Boomer, chili ain't a CAJUN food, thats why it causes us to have brain farts.

If you need some salve for getting chapped try Boudreaus Butt Paste. The best thing in the world for baby rash and hind ends that get raw. It was invented in CAJUN country.

Folks,

Recently there have been several posts which have been pushing the envelope.

Please be careful with your posts....

We have all been around enough that there is probably very little that would faze most of us. However, we have a realy simple guideline for the site ...If you wouldn't want your wife/child reading it.... don't post it.

Thanks for your understanding......

:15_8_211[1]:

Let me first say although you guide line would apply and make sense to most there are those who use foul language and inapropriate behavior around there own kids, regardless of there age so the guide line is somewhat open to interpatation even though most of us do relize what it implies

As far as having a post being pulled I don't see why the moderators have to be put to extra work just to sooth our feelings, we are adults not children. If its been pulled they had a reason don't loose sleep over it I don't. Sometimes it could be as simple as how a coment was phrased which could lead to misinterpatation and if the moderators feel they need to pull it to keep the peace or avoid a possible misunderstanding so what its not the end of the world. We have a great bunch of members here, and we are all a part of a one of the best web based memberships I can think of.SO lets all enjoy whats good about it and not quible over small details.

We (midnight shift) would all come in early back in 1980 and watch Benny Hill before roll call. Always good for a good laugh.

my idea of what is acceptable may well be very different from this site's "pg rating".

You know...I saw this and it immediately got my attention and can't help from posting about it...Didn't even make it to the other pages. I am a bit on the younger side, at the age of 30, compared to most here, but I still remember when there was cursing and nudity in PG movies...Airplane! comes to mind... :happy34:

I for one think there is way to much censorship in this country already. Example, I pay for my cable service, but all the "naughty" words and private body parts are blurred out on just about every channel. I feel that if "I" don't want to see or hear it, I just turn the channel or walk away.

But on the other hand, I AM glad that this sight isn't full of all the crap that I have seen on some other forums.

Posted

Oh what the H3|| ... I'll put some more into this just for the halibut.

What does PG mean?

According to the "industry" ....

Parental Guidance Suggested. Some Material May Not Be Suitable For Children.

So, that to me suggests that the parent should first review it and if they feel it is unacceptable for their kids, then they do not let the kids view it.

Now, I'm not suggesting that we should just allow any smut and crap be posted ... what I am saying (and I apoliogize if I am being obnoxious) is, it sure would be nice to know if a post is borderline or if a post is pulled and why rather than it just "disappearing" and I'm wondering why (because I can't even remember what was in it).

Having said that, words like **** and **** are "bleeped" so we mask them with things like sh*t and f**k ... now, anyone who knows anything knows exactly what those words are so why bother bleeping them or pulling the post... why not just say "no such language in any form of it" ?

Having said all of this, and it appears my original reply to the original post has opened a can of worms for which I am still looking for that ultimate wiggler .... I am speaking up simply because I have a strong opinion about this and to my knowledge, have never had a post pulled or be borderline...but then again, my knowledge is only as good as the information available (ie, I've never been told).

(the saga continues...)

Should I shut up now? OK, I will.
