OK , not sure where to post this. From my understanding freebird (aka Don) was haveing surgery today. Not in the inner circle yet,(I can wait my turn) but I do still care. If there ias any info please pass it on.I just got home from work and not sure where to look for updates..

I check on here most everyday..If I see a post on him I will IM you ASAP...BTW, You became part of the Inner Circle when you hit the key and Joined! Looking forward to meeting you one day..Hopefully you can make it to "The Hub" in Arkansas in August. Tom

Spoke to him last night. In good spirits. Have not been able to reach him today, but he was having a procedure this morning so probably has his phone off. Keep him in your prayers. In respect for his privacy, I will not say much more.

From what I know! Right now he's not a happy camper and it may take days before he knows him self just how he made out. My Wife is a nurse and works for the VA [Government] and from what she told me this was not good and in the last 25 years she has only seen three cases of this and Don's case is difficult to treat, note she has worked acute medical and oncology wards.

Just got back to hotel. Surgery was OK as far as I know. Have another appointment with the doctor tomorrow so will know more then. Sorry folks, from the anesthesia and pain meds I'm a bit out of it right now. More tomorrow night hopefully.

I don't know what it is about surgery, but it's always nice to hear from the patient once it's over.

Hoping all is well as can be (been out of the loop for a few days), Prayers sent.

Headed home today folks. Had post op follow ups yesterday and the rings that they implanted in my eyes appear to be good and correctly located. Had an appointment at the Proton Therapy Center where they formed the mask that I will wear when I return for the treatments. I have some moderate pain in the eye from the surgery but not too bad and it should bet better soon. Have managed to stay off the pain pills except for one time the day of the surgery.

 

Should be home either tonight or tomorrow, depending upon how far we feel like driving today. Will return on the 20th for the radiation treatments. All is going as well as we could have hoped. Thanks for all your prayers and well wishes.
