bongobobny Posted April 4, 2009 #1 Posted April 4, 2009 I'm going to be taking my whole fork assembly off and putting on a rebuilt setup, and replacing all the brake lines, calipers, and master cylinders aswell. I could use an extra pair of hands or two gettring things done and making sure I don't accidently drop Goldie on the cold hard concrete floor in the process. The garage is heated, there is half a case of Mexican beer in the garage, and I wil buy pizza and wings for nourishment. I'm thinking next Saturday to get started. If anybody is bored or would like to help, come on over...

When I bought old used bikes I used to strip them down to the frame and rebuild / paint them. - I would like to help with some repairs again. I used to love doing that stuff. NY is just to far from Omaha, NE. I hope someone helps you out. Craigr

I polished 2 sets of the riser part of the handlebars and one set painted the black inset part Gold for Goldie, and the other set Navy Blue for the '85's paint scheme!! The ones for Goldie look dynamite!!! Yes, pictures to follow...

craigatcsi Posted April 5, 2009 #7 Posted April 5, 2009 They look good from what I can see in the picks. I used to polish anything I could on my bikes. I even pulled the front forks and polished the Aluminum to a mirror finish on my 72 Kaw 500. They looked great. craigr
