Bluesman Posted April 3, 2009 #1 Posted April 3, 2009 I'm in the middle of installing my factory passing lamp mount and ran into a snag. I've just attached the passing lamps themselves to the mount and now I'm in the process of attaching the turn signals, problem is, I can't make the connection because of the rubber sleeve. Is this supposed to be removed before installation? Or is there a way to wrestle it on properly? (took a lot of twisting and pulling to remove the signals from the original bar in the first place) Bluez
T.J. Posted April 3, 2009 #2 Posted April 3, 2009 WD-40 makes it a little easier to work with, to side in and out. Good luck.
dragerman Posted April 3, 2009 #3 Posted April 3, 2009 I’m not sure how it works for the front but when I installed the run/break conversion kit into the rear turn lights I ran in a similar problem. I had a hard time to get the bulb socket with the rubber sleeve back into place. After applying a thin film of dielectric grease to both sides I was able to work it in... perhaps that might help
Carbon_One Posted April 3, 2009 #4 Posted April 3, 2009 Silcone sprayed on the rubber helps as well. Larry
