FL-Venture-Rider Posted April 3, 2009 #1 Posted April 3, 2009 (edited) Well great news !! I HEARD the Blue/Black RSV can keep up with that super fast Black mid night Venture, so we just bought one ! We just came home, and found a 2007 RSV thats blue/black, with 8,800 miles on it, for $11,000.00 ! ( Buyer was asking $12K ) The bike was spotless, looks like it just came outta the showroom ! I took my first ride tonight before leaving the deposit on the RSV, and what a great smooth running bike ! Lots of power, engine was smooth as silk, easy to turn, I had to make a U-Turn, and went into a full lock on the steering wheel, and no problem, that bike is easy to maneuver. I can also flat foot the bike with no problems at 5'9" I also heard the stock pipes for the first time, and they have a slight little rumble to them, which I just love ! The bike came with the saddlebag chrome wrap around guards, drivers backrest, highway pegs, and a full tank of gas! I can't wait to pick it up next week, were so excited ! http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm200/fltekdiver/94912273_3thumb_550x410.jpg http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm200/fltekdiver/94912273_1thumb_550x410.jpg http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm200/fltekdiver/94912273_2thumb_550x410.jpg Edited April 3, 2009 by FL-Venture-Rider

stvmaier Posted April 3, 2009 #5 Posted April 3, 2009 Nicely done.....enjoy the new ride....I KNOW you will!!!!!
FL-Venture-Rider Posted April 3, 2009 Author #6 Posted April 3, 2009 We sure did. It was allot of work, finding the right bike, a price that we felt comfortable paying for in todays market, and it turns out the bike went up on Cycle trader yesterday, and was only 45 min away We were looking at bikes anywhere from Florida, ( Where we live ) to Texas, to Canada, Arizona, we were ready to travel to buy the right bike. I was very lucky to have found such a gem. The owner took such good care of the bike, and its so clean, I'm afraid to ride it, as it's in just such beautiful condition. We can't wait, I love the feel and looks of this bike! A very good friend of mine, who I do a ton of riding with, told me about this bike a few months ago, as he has owned two of them. I was so stubborn at the time, and didn't want anything but a HD Ultra Classic, Thats all I focused on getting. We to find out, the RSV really is the perfect bike for us right now, has all the bells and whistles we were looking for like CB , cruise control, a bike with a fuel gage, wow, no more running out of gas!
Red Ryder Posted April 3, 2009 #8 Posted April 3, 2009 Congrads on the New to you RSV. I hope you enjoy yours as much as we do ours. On the V-twins you shift earlier than this V4, let her whined out a little more each gear so she don't buck you. Have Fun, Later-
Aimhigh Posted April 3, 2009 #9 Posted April 3, 2009 Congratulations on the new bike. We also have the 07 blue/black and love it. I took it on a 1200 mile (one-way) ride last summer and it was great! Enjoy. (I know you will!)

M61A1MECH Posted April 3, 2009 #13 Posted April 3, 2009 Marco Is that the one in Port Orange? If it is, it is only 10 miles from me, if you need any help or just want some company when you pick it up for a portion of the ride home let me know, we can meet some place. Always good to meet new owners and members. Make sure you you get it straight to a dealer to transfer the warrenty. Probably should find out which local dealer the owner was doing business with, they should be able to transfer the warrenty on the spot. Let me know what I can do to help.
Kregerdoodle Posted April 3, 2009 #14 Posted April 3, 2009 It`s my understanding that the slow Black/Blue bikes come with a Steering Wheel, unlike the Green Beast!! Steering wheel?

Scooter Bob Posted April 3, 2009 #23 Posted April 3, 2009 "2007 RSV thats blue/black, with 8,800 miles on it" Mine finally seemed to get broken in and started getting better fuel milage and power... At around 40k. Better get going.. and enjoy the ride... Congrats, Scooter Bob
Skid Posted April 3, 2009 #24 Posted April 3, 2009 Beautiful bike. I'm looking for either the same or a Midnight myself.....
Sylvester Posted April 3, 2009 #25 Posted April 3, 2009 It looks so fresh and innocent in the pictures, now it is time to take it out and get it dirty. Don't waste time washing it all the time, you need to ride it. I try to help mankind by not using very much water on cars and bikes. I personally believe the blue/black is half as fast as the midnight. Ride and enjoy
