Ok, so late last night after spending about an hour on this site I got inspired and went out to work on Cassy (thats the name of my RSV). I am trying to remove the saddle bag but I cannot figure out how to unplug the CD changer to get it out of the saddle bag. HELP! I darn-near broke the plug trying to get it off. Somebody here has to know how to do this.

Also, I was messing with the CB antenna and it just lifted off of its mount. Is it supposed to do that or did I break it?

Need input!!!!!!!!!!!!!:confused24:

(P.S. I am removing the saddle bag rails and the CD changer just in case anyone is interested in purchasing them.)

I got read of the CD changer a long time ago but I seem to remember a release tab on the edge that has to be pressed before it will pull out.

As for the antenna, not, it should not just lift off. That was a problem with the antennas on the '99 models. They are a terrible design. I replaced mine with after market antennas for that very reason. If you haven't had any problems with the CB, you are very lucky. Mine would barely transmit with that problem and often squealed very loudly when I hit the transmit button.

I haven't even tried to use the CB yet. I don't know that I ever will because I have a two way com that attaches to my helmet. For now I just have the antenna off so it doesn't fall of while I am under way. I will look for the tab on the CD player. It is pointless to have a big bulky CD player when I have an ipod. And check out how I mounted mine.

Oh, I almost forgot, my old CD changer had a black ring just where it plugged in. You pulled the ring away from the changer and then unplugged it.

Yeah that worked! I was pulling on the plug part and not the ring. As soon as I grabbed the ring and pulled it came right out. Thanks.
