Squidley Posted March 31, 2009 #1 Posted March 31, 2009 ....Lonna that is. She and her daughter are on their way to Houston as her mother fainted and is in the hospital. Seems she might have suffered a stroke, she's anemic and is recieving blood transfusions. Lonna talked with her this morning and she was pretty cohereant. Unfortunately I could not join her as someone has to make money to pay for it, but she's rolling. Right now she's in Indianapolis at DanOB11's for the evening and will spend the night with Dan and Rose, tomorrow she's on her way further down to who know's where I'd like to thank Dan and Rose for their hospitality and keeping my baby safe and with friends. I think that she will make it to hopefully Little Rock Arkansas and stay somewhere in that area tomorrow night and then on to Houston on Thursday. I know our Houston members will make her feel right at home. So if you see a crazy little redhead with her 30 YO blonde daughter in a Burgundy Buick Rainier with Michigan plates on some south bound Interstate, honk and wave.
mini-muffin Posted March 31, 2009 #3 Posted March 31, 2009 Sorry to hear that Brad. We'll keep your mother-in-law in our prayers as well as Lonna. Hope all turns out ok. Margaret

Leadwolf56 Posted April 1, 2009 #7 Posted April 1, 2009 Brad, Hope everything turns out ok. You're all in our thoughts. Don't eat too much fast food while she's gone, not good for the diet.....
Venturous Randy Posted April 1, 2009 #8 Posted April 1, 2009 Hey buddy, hope everything turns out ok. Two questions; Lonna has a 30 year old daughter? That surprises me. You did not send her off in the Caprice land yacht to combat the 18 wheelers? RandyA
Freebird Posted April 1, 2009 #9 Posted April 1, 2009 Let them know that we are thinking of them Brad. It's a long drive and only made worse when you are under such stress from worry. Make sure they stop and get the rest that they will need.
Mikealiasmike Posted April 1, 2009 #10 Posted April 1, 2009 Our prayers are with them but I do want to point out that since geographically they are in a different zip code, you are officially a bachelor. It's in the marriage vows in small print. Now to keep JoDee from seeing this...
Marcarl Posted April 1, 2009 #11 Posted April 1, 2009 We're with you bro, keep up the spirit, and we'll do the praying.
relic Posted April 1, 2009 #12 Posted April 1, 2009 Terrible news Brad: Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and Lonna and the family at this time.
Dano Posted April 1, 2009 #13 Posted April 1, 2009 Lonna and Heather have been safely here since about 6:30, a little Panini, some good conversation and a relaxing evening. Didn't work on anything for once! They are all snug safe in their beds for the night, now I can get on here and waste some time! They will be leaving out about 6:30 or so in the morning, with plenty of coffee to go around! I can add one thing to the Burgundy Rainier- it will be the one with the contrails coming off the back! She did say that was the slowest she'd ever driven or ridden behind me! But the area I brought her through, they are trying their own economic stimulus plan, if you know what I mean! Safe journey to the two of them, I expect to see them on the way back through! As always, to our VR members, never hesitate to call if you need a way station on your journeys. We are all here to help each other! Dan
Mariner Fan Posted April 1, 2009 #15 Posted April 1, 2009 Brad, Sorry to hear about this. Tell Lonna that we are thinking about her and wishing them well. If you cook as badly as I do then you will be haunting the fast food places.

Squidley Posted April 1, 2009 Author #20 Posted April 1, 2009 Thanks folks for the well wishes, I really appreciate it and I know Lonna does. I wish I could have gone with her, I don't like sending her off basically by herself on a cross country trip. It seemed that her mother is responding well as much info as I have, she might even end back up here at our place to recoperate. I'll do allright here, wont starve, but the bed sure is lonely at night, couldn't get to sleep knowing she wasn't here. Thanks again to Dan and Rose, you wont meet any 2 folks better than them. I'll keep you all updated on her progress.
Kregerdoodle Posted April 1, 2009 #21 Posted April 1, 2009 Brad, Thoughts and Prayers are with Lonna and her Daughter in their travels, and we Pray that her Mother gets well fast and complete.. we really wanted to see ya`ll, but this is not the way that we had in mind, If Lonna needs anything while here, please don`t hesitate to ask, we are here for ya`ll. Please keeps us up to date and have Lonna give us a call when she gets in town, maybe a good meal or if she just needs to talk. You try and take care of your self while she is gone, don`t burn the Mac and Cheese and try and get some sleep. Take care! Kreg & Janet ....Lonna that is.
