So, I'm ready to instal my new progressive springs and I'm looking for opinions/facts about which type of fork oil should I use and why. Should I use regular fork oil, a synthetic blend, or a full synthetic? Advantages/disadvantages of each?

Most any brand of Fork Oil, will do just fine.

I'm useing 15 wgt fork oil, with Progressive Springs, and NO Air Pressure.

Little stiff at first , but seems good now.

Been in there about 2 years, time to give it a change.

I just used regular fork oil. I definitely agree with George and use NO AIR. I have a prefect ride in the front end and couldn't believe the difference. Well worth the money spent. My next up grade will be the Progressive rear shock...:2cents:

George the Oil broke down and therefore you liked it more. Use lighter Oil next Time ( 10 Weight). I'd put that on the Schedule soon.

I generally recommend synthetic Fork Oil. Holds up way longer than standard Oil. Oehlins has the best Oil with Non-Friction Enhancers. Might cost a Dollar or three more but it's worth the Money. But it's only for use with fresh Seals, it will seep a little bit when then Seals are used.

Thanks, Squeeze, and yes the seals are fresh, just rebuilt the assemblys. All the former dirt bike riders at work say synthetic as well as it holds up better. Just kinda pricy at over $20 a quart...
