bobbyduck Posted March 29, 2009 #1 Posted March 29, 2009 I just bought a very slightly used set of the Corbin seats that Yamaha markets for my 2006 RSTD. They are called the "Comfort Cruise Solo Seat" and "Custom Cruise Tour Pillion" Does anyone know of a drivers backrest that will work with these? Or any rain covers? Any help is appreciated. Here's a link to the seats that I am talking about, I have the plainer ones with out studs: http://www.yamahasportsplaza.com/pages/catalogs/products/26/801/2247/1/0/0/1/4/90/68/329/seats-backrests.aspx Thanks Bob LeDuc
RoadKill Posted March 29, 2009 #2 Posted March 29, 2009 Any Corbin backrest should work I would think if it has the slot in the seat like all Corbin's. Ebay has some look alike's fairly cheap. As far as rain cover's I used one form www.coveralls.biz on my RSV Corbin's and liked it very much, really rolled up small and light weight.
bobbyduck Posted March 29, 2009 Author #3 Posted March 29, 2009 Yup I know about the slots in many Corbin seats, but not in this one. Here's a picture of the same seats on the previous owner's bike:

jfoster Posted April 4, 2009 #5 Posted April 4, 2009 Have you tried looking up Utopia Back Rest..they make one for the RSTD that bolts up under the seat. It should work for both the stock seat and the comfort cruise seat that you got.
jfoster Posted April 4, 2009 #6 Posted April 4, 2009 PS Diamond R doesn't make a back rest for the RSTD anymore, as of yesterday. Just the Venture.
wes0778 Posted April 8, 2009 #7 Posted April 8, 2009 May be low budget, redneck, solution, but my seat rain covers come out of a box that has a description "Tall kitchen" on them. Then I put an Ultraguard cover over the whole bike.
