Maritimer Posted March 29, 2009 #1 Posted March 29, 2009 Anyone has any experience with this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MOTORCYCLE-TRUNK-ROAD-V-ROYAL-STAR-VULCAN-C50-M109R-VTX_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a1Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem270362274300QQitemZ270362274300QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories Not sure if it is even worth it. I just like the light on the trunk. Could the regular passenger backrest be fitted on that? I don't like the one on it. Thanks
RossKean Posted March 29, 2009 #2 Posted March 29, 2009 That stuff looks like Mutazu http://www.mutazu.com/ I haven't seen any of it in person but I have heard that it is probably a reasonable value, considering the very low cost. I heard some complaints about hardware and fasteners, stuff vibrating loose etc. Someone on one of the Roadstar forums bought the trunk and saddlebags and was reasonably pleased. It might be worth some searching under that company name as well as Mutazu to see if you can get some better informed opinions. Cheers Ross
friesman Posted March 29, 2009 #3 Posted March 29, 2009 (edited) I bought just the light bar to mount on top of my 85 G1's trunk and it looks to be of fairly good quality, but a bit lightly made. I had it painted to match my trunk but dont have it all assembled yet so I cant show you any pictures. For about 35 bucks I thought it was worth it. http://www.mutazu.com/products.php?cat_id=1&menu=DMY%20Trunk%20Series&product_id=20&s=prod.php Brian Edited March 29, 2009 by friesman
sarges46 Posted March 29, 2009 #4 Posted March 29, 2009 Ya and I have that bar on my midnight. It looks ok, not as nice as OEM but works alright for the money. Mikealiasmike got the trunk from them and had bad luck with the locking mech and even worse customer support if I recall.

Maritimer Posted March 29, 2009 Author #6 Posted March 29, 2009 Tx guys. I think I'll steer clear. Appreciate the replies. Cheers
SaltyDawg Posted March 29, 2009 #7 Posted March 29, 2009 A little late to the post, but my 2 cents worth is don't get it. I put their saddle bags on Krome Roses Volusia and it was a MAJOR PITA. Instructions sucked, called manufacture and they couldn't even speak English so they were no help. They actually put a janitor on the phone to talk to me and translate for them. Go figure.
