As you can imagine, there is a LOT going on in my life right now and it's only going to get worse over the next few weeks and possibly months. Since starting this club about 4 1/2 years ago, I've had it set up to where every post made here comes to me by email. I do this so that I can keep up with things, reply to posts that require or request my reply, watch for any threads that get out of hand for one reason or the other. What this means is that I read every post made here and that is usually hundreds per day in my email box. I'm afraid that I may have to disable this feature for a while. I will continue it through the following week before heading to Boston but will probably have to turn it off before I leave. There will be days when I just won't be able to keep up with the posts here and that will mean thousands of emails to go through when I get the opportunity to do so. Now the main way this affects you is that there are often posts where people will say "I'm sure Freebird will see this and respond"...or "I think Freebird did that"....etc. I very well may not see those posts so if there is something that truly requires my attention and/or input, please do not just assume that I will see the post. Either send me a PM or an Email and I'll respond to it as soon as I can. Thanks in advance for your understanding and if you don't get immediate responses to your PMs or Emails, please understand that I will be doing the best that I can.

Please be assured they will do their best to help you in this situation. We as members will also step up and police ourselves! You need to take care of Job #1, which is your health. Don't worry about us, we will behave (?!) like the responsible adults we seem to be! Dan

DragonRider Posted March 28, 2009 #8 Posted March 28, 2009 Don, you do what you have to do, this place can run on automatic for a while, and you have selected great moderators that can handle this bunch almost as well as you do.......... Now you put everything on the back burner for however long it takes and concentrate on you and your family, nothing is more important than getting you healthy. We are here for you, if you want to vent, call anytime day or nite my phone is always on....... Just as a sidenote, Paula who is married to Jamie (Wingman) has one eye and does everything anyone else can do and it doesnt slow her down one bit, she rides her bike whenever she has the time, Im sure if you wanted some input she would be glad to talk to you about it. And as for the Moderators they are some of the best Moderators you can have right now in this time of need. And it shows me you have good judgment in picking these Moderators as your back up. I met a few of them and by what I see these guys are some of the best friends you can have right now....... Take some time off and take care of yourself and get some rest and be happy for you have one of the best and behaved Organization a man could ever hope for.... But we all know that you have to have time off to address those issues your facing now. Do what you have to do and we will keep our prayers coming.

I have never posted before, but I read all your posts and truly appreciate all you've done for us and this site. Good luck with your treatment. We will be thinking of you. And if any member acts up while you are going thru this it only show disrespect to you, and the moderators, and the need NOT be here! So I think we need to show Don just what he has created here, and make it something he can be PROUD OF!! What do you say!? We are still keeping you in our thoughts and prayers Don!
