tsigwing Posted March 26, 2009 Share #1 Posted March 26, 2009 After installing the new tire, I initially had 32 lbs of air. It felt squirmy. Put 35 lbs of air in it and it still feels squirmy. Concerned about going above the tires max pressure of 35 lbs of air. I saw where others have used 40 lbs and even 44 lbs. Thoughts?
BigBoyinMS Posted March 26, 2009 Share #2 Posted March 26, 2009 How did I miss this post? LoL You did just what I was going to recommend... went to the Darksiders forum. As you know I run 42 lbs and love it but my max printed on the tire is 44lbs. Personally I would probably try the low 40's if it was mine. It's got more plys than the Kumho so I can't see it being a problem.

MAINEAC Posted March 27, 2009 Share #4 Posted March 27, 2009 My Kumho Powerstar 758 has a max psi of 35... I'm running 40 lbs for past 8K miles with no issues... including pulling a trailer...

wizard Posted March 27, 2009 Share #6 Posted March 27, 2009 I run 35 lbs on my BFG. I guess that as the tire breaks in and the tread wears down a bit, the squirm gets less, because I really don't notice it anymore. I ride mostly 2 up on the Venture, and Robin tells me she feels the bike is more stable and comfortable for her with the car tire on the back.
