Christo Posted March 24, 2009 #1 Posted March 24, 2009 Surfing through the custom dynamics site came across these gems for some easy mounting of rear brake/run and turn lights as options: http://www.customdynamics.com/integrated_led_light_bars.htm http://www.customdynamics.com/flex_led_array.htm I am going to try and mount these to my RSV trunk, and some to the bags and sides of the bike.
SaltyDawg Posted March 24, 2009 #2 Posted March 24, 2009 The fork lights are nice but darn expensive. I already have pretty much the same thing for the brake light. Real nice and sure gets noticed.
hale374 Posted March 24, 2009 #3 Posted March 24, 2009 I had noticed those as well. The flex arrays are very nice. I was looking at them as marker lights to add to the sides of the bike or something, but expensive. I believe most of us here use a 50 led light you can get from most auto zones and add resistors to make it running and brake. You can get those for under $25. Then there are the ones from DiamondR that alot of folks use as well.
whanna Posted March 24, 2009 #4 Posted March 24, 2009 I put one of these on the back of my 2nd Gen last spring and it works great. If this is the same one (same body but a few different wiring options are available), you have a tail as well as brake option. The tail light is the outer two LEDs plus the center. When you hit the brake, you get all of the LEDs lighting up. Pretty bright, and on my 2000 RSV (red on red), the lens makes it blend right in. I saw a clear lensed one on Saturday on a silver RSV, and it also blended in quite neatly. http://www.customdynamics.com/trailer_led_light_bar.htm#Slimline_Stop,_Tail,_Turn_Light_ FWIW

I want something that is more up high and in the line of sight of those behind me. I wish it was easy to get an HD style trunk with the speaker pods, lights, and intercom controls already in place for our RSV's. Those HD trunks come with all kinds of lights, that is what I wish I could have.
