I had noticed those as well. The flex arrays are very nice. I was looking at them as marker lights to add to the sides of the bike or something, but expensive. I believe most of us here use a 50 led light you can get from most auto zones and add resistors to make it running and brake. You can get those for under $25. Then there are the ones from DiamondR that alot of folks use as well.

I put one of these on the back of my 2nd Gen last spring and it works great. If this is the same one (same body but a few different wiring options are available), you have a tail as well as brake option. The tail light is the outer two LEDs plus the center. When you hit the brake, you get all of the LEDs lighting up. Pretty bright, and on my 2000 RSV (red on red), the lens makes it blend right in. I saw a clear lensed one on Saturday on a silver RSV, and it also blended in quite neatly.

I have something like this as well now, fastened "under" the trunk. I want something that is more up high and in the line of sight of those behind me. I wish it was easy to get an HD style trunk with the speaker pods, lights, and intercom controls already in place for our RSV's. Those HD trunks come with all kinds of lights, that is what I wish I could have.
