I just bought two sets of J&M elite full-face headsets. I was going to send the to J&M to have them install them in our Shoei RF1000 helmets. Then I came across this link at Edsets web site http://picasaweb.google.com/edsetsdude/2008ShoeiRF1000. I just followed the steps and went slow. It wasn't hard but it was time consuming. The only thing I did different than what the Edset page did was I off set the mics to the left side, that's the way J&M suggests. They sound great in the garage. We didn't have time to road test them today.

I too have J & M headsets.......don't remember exactly which model. I have 2 sets: one for the modular helmet and one for the half helmet. I've had them for about 6 months. I have to turn up the volume to about 25 to hear through head sets. When I have it going through the speakers, a volume of 15 will work fine. Is this normal?

Just playing around with them yesterday I did notice that I had to turn the headset volume up a little more than the speakers but not too much with the radio from 17 to 20. With my MP3 player I had to turn the headsets volume way up at first. Then I turned the MP3 player volume all the way up and was able to turn the headset volume back down to where the radio is.

Today was the first time I've had to ride with the new headset. All I can say is WOW. The sound great and are very easy to controll. Every time I ride this bike I'm more happy that we bought the RSV.
