Midnight Posted March 22, 2009 #1 Posted March 22, 2009 I was hoping for some suggestions on where I could pick up a "Trailer Isolation Relay" in Canada. I need to wire up my Aluma MCT trailer and thought it would be wise to use a relay kit to protect the bikes wiring. I was also wondering how many actually use a relay kit. Is it really necessary or will the Venture handle the trailers LED lights without overloading anything. Thanks Jim
Tom Posted March 22, 2009 #2 Posted March 22, 2009 http://www.etrailer.com/p-118176KIT.htm Jim I sent a PM...This is what I used with my LEDS and no problem at all..Same trailer as yours,4 ways all work great everything..a little pricey but I bought it because it says on the Info it works with LED Tail Lights. Marcarl Posted March 23, 2009 #3 Posted March 23, 2009 Check out CTC, they have lots of that type of stuff and something may work for you. For myself, I wouldn't bother, just wire it direct as usual, there's not that much more draw, only when you brake.
BradT Posted March 23, 2009 #4 Posted March 23, 2009 Go to a place that sells Travel and pop up tent trailers, that's where I found mine and it was just as cheap as ordering on line. On line and have it shipped to the house, is the best other alternative. Brad
