Need some feedback:

I am thinking of trading my 07RSV for an 08 Stratoliner S. Anybody have any feedback on the Stratoliner S? The reason for trading is the RSV is a little heavy for the riding we do. We do some cruising and some trips.:backinmyday:

i think it would be a great second bike. the big drawback would be the air cooling, big vibration at highway speed , and as was said passenger comfort. dragonrider and i both have v-star 1300's. you might want to check one of them out. very powerful, watercooled, balancer shaft for no vibration, sportbike like handling, but again not to passenger friendly. i love mine but the vtwins just ain't no venture. i had a warrior, basically the same motor as the strat and it did vibrate above 60mph.bill :2133:

Paul, Give me a Call @ 773-719-2927, and I'll be happy to answer all your questions.

Strat is sweet ride, and way better balanced then Venture, but thats complete different ride.

We had a VTX1300 before trading it for the 07RSV. I don't know that we'll be taking the long trips together like we thought. It will be shorter trips, maybe 300 to 400 miles a day. I may take longer ones without my wife. The Stratoliner has lots of power and is long enough for by stature. I am 6'1" and 280lbs. The complaint with the RSV is the center of gravity is high and with my wife on the back it is great for long rides but crusing around and trying to back up or making a tight turn to park is sometimes hard. I miss the way the VTX1300 handled for cruising but lacked power and weight. I went on a 3000 mile trip and encountered strong cross winds in Kansas and had a real issue getting blown around while my friend on his ultra classic had no problems. I will give Star Dog a call before I make the plunge. There is a bike show in town today we're going to. Thanks for all of your input.
