FROG MAN Posted March 20, 2009 #1 Posted March 20, 2009 March 20th First Day of Spring. Gents start your engines let the good times begin.
Guest seuadr Posted March 20, 2009 #2 Posted March 20, 2009 right on! i plan on getting the bike out of storeage for the last time sunday! ( poor girl has to live an hour from my appartment in the winter, i don't like seeing snow on her ) thankfully, every time it's gotten warm i've done some spring prep on her, oil change, checked the brakes/battery/fuses/tires.. replaced some wheel bearings, etc. so all i have to do sunday is drain most of the stabil gas and top it off with fresh!
ToRide1 Posted March 20, 2009 #3 Posted March 20, 2009 Have to take the time to find out where Falls Mill is at and I'm in Berkeley Co
uncledj Posted March 20, 2009 #4 Posted March 20, 2009 (edited) Can't get my rollin' 'till I get my floorboards back from the %&*@#$ chrome shop. I sent them in to get chromed last fall, and I'm to the point of calling every day to bug them. I've demanded my parts back, chromed or not, and the owner won't call me back, so I keep calling and talking to the secretary. I'm to the point where I'm going to have to file suit in small claims court...but I don't want it to come to that......I just want my stuff back. Avoid Blakleys polishing in Dayton, OH. Freebird: thanks for the offer, but I don't know what you can do..The story I keep getting is that my parts are still at the platers, as if Blakleys has no responsibility for my problem, even though they were happy to accept the required $100 deposit The thing that really bugs me is that they absolutely will not call me back, although they always promise to. I told them that, after this long, I just need my parts back, finished or not, and they won't give me any response other than, again, "they're still at the platers". I called them again today, and she said "maybe Monday".....I won't hold my breath. I'll keep calling them daily until I either get my parts back, or until I finally decide to file suit. It wouldn't be so bad except that a set of driver floorboards are pretty hard to find for a first gen. Thanks again, I'll post if I get them back. Edited March 20, 2009 by uncledj
Venturous Randy Posted March 20, 2009 #5 Posted March 20, 2009 Spring gets here at 7:44 am EDT. I went out to the car to leave for work and windshield was covered with ice, not frost, but a think layer of ice. This has been the longest winter I can remember in my life. We may still have some winter weather in the mix, but it won't last long. I just pray we have a good safe riding year. RandyA

Venturous Randy Posted March 21, 2009 #21 Posted March 21, 2009 We have the Bristol Nascar race this weekend locally and this time of year can bring anything. Last year it was about 70º and the year before they were having snowball fights in the pits. This weekend it is to be about 60º on Saturday and 65º on Sunday. RandyA
