In the hinge are of the tape deckI know there is one spring that pushes the door open when you press the door to release it. I found one when I took it out. Now what Im not sure of becuse it kind of fell part when I was taking the door off for paint and one fell out and i thought there was another. Is there one spring or two?

Well if anyone needs a spring let me know for I'm removing my door later today to install gauges..

If I recall correctly, there is only one spring... and I have the empty cassette box complete with the door and spring intact ....

I'm at work so will check tonight when I get home re: one or two springs but I'm pretty sure it's just one.

Actually I cant find that diagram but if you all say one spring then Im good. I have one.

The drawing I was referring to is HERE HOWEVER once looking at it, I cant find the door...... sorry.... look at the last page and it is there, but not as a separate unit.

Also note the note that says the drawing is continued on the next page.....

Yep, only one! Just had mine apart for paint and that sucker can be tricky to put back together. But it only has one!
